Wintry Feb 2-4 2022 Winter Weather Potential

I’ll never forget the Feb 94 ice storm. We were without power for weeks, watched pine trees fall all night. I lived in far northwest AL on the state line back then. This doesn’t look as terrible as that one.
Not being nosey but where exactly out here did you live?

In honor of Puxatony Phil and our western weenies, I present the 12Z GFS Valentines' day prognostication.

Tulsa saying up to 10 possible

* WHAT...A mixture of freezing rain, sleet and snow. Total snow
accumulations of 4 to 8 inches with local amounts up to 10
inches with heaviest snow totals along and north of Interstate
44.

Looking at Tulsa records, if they get 8" from this storm, it will already put them in 8th place for snowiest Feb back to 1901 and it would only be Feb 4th! There's only been one Feb with more snow than 10.5". Last Feb's 10.0" was 4th heaviest. Having two Febs in a row with this much snow is unprecedented in the records.

I remember Tulsa having a very snowy February one year. I think it was 2011.

Yeah that's the record month... 14 inches which is the biggest storm then I believe there was another storm about a week later

Brent and everyone that seeing snow, keep the photos coming.

Oh don't worry... I'll have so many pictures and probably some videos once it really starts here
