23 and hard sleet now. Got about 2 inches of snow prior to changeover. I'll take it. Everything's white and COLD. Beautiful.

What kind of PWS do you have that’s getting that temp? Nearly every reporting station in Dekalb co plus locations to your north are warmer, 33-34.

Rain has changed to sleet here with a few flakes mixed in near the AL/GA border close to I20. Temp 35/34
Power flickering. No snow or ice? What a kick in the nads that would be. I at least have football to watch today unless..... UGH!!!

Just switched over to heavy sleet. I'm centered between Buford, Flowery Branch and Braselton.
There is way to much wind and mixing to have any cold or warm pockets either. The only minor differences could be caused by elevation, but everyone should generally be in lockstep.
You can see how strong that NE wind has been with where the roof is bare

I’m probably a few miles east of you and I’ve transitioned to sleet, too. Small snowflakes mixing in just a tad.
Edit: Back to mostly snow now.

Can hear the county road crews and their chainsaws on the road at the top of our subdivision, clearing trees that fell over the road. Light to moderate sleet mixing in with the freezing rain now. Just had a wind gust over 40 mph (estimate).

Epic bust in the foothills by NWS! Finally a good busted forecast. Heavy snow with temps in the low 20s during the day. This will be one of my favorite events! Sitting at 6-7 inches here in Lenoir.

Sleet line is charging across the west Atlanta metro on correlation coefficient
The NAM has always had trouble identifying the effects of dynamic cooling in these strong FGEN forcing bands… it doesn’t pick up on it until the event is really close in. This is something the HRRR does a great job of picking up on… even when it’s outside of its best range

Just a sidenote: I have bird feeders in my yard and they are covered up with more birds than I've ever seen at once this morning. My yard is literally moving with birds. Hoping they are doing it because snow is coming ??

Back to all snow now in Oak Ridge, NC, NW Guilford County
About half an inch here near downtown HSV. Big flakes, moderate rate. Temperature holding steady at 33, which is a few degrees lower than modeling yesterday at this time.

Awfull quite last 10 mins. Frzng rain now taking over. Loosing the cold cloud tops, see water vapor, so expect freezing drizzle, light rain to take over now. Windchill is 4 in Gboro

These flakes better start coming down fast and furious if its going to stick to all the puddles and wet ground. Snow/sleet mix but light at the moment.

It's 28.2 degrees here and the sleet is now mixing with freezing rain at my location. There is a light accumulation on grassy and exposed surfaces and the driveway and sidewalk is quite crunchy and slippery. I almost fell down walking to the storage shed a few minutes ago to get some five gallon buckets to draw up some water in case the power goes out since we are not on city water at my house. Now it's time to rub that rabbit's foot and cross those fingers and toes and hope there are no power issues although I feel better about that seeing the latest trends.
