Pattern Januworry

The good continues throughout the 12Z EPS: maybe retrograding some at end but still cold then at least..so cold dominated pattern at least next two weeks per this run with three Arctic highs to come ...probably cold dominated at least through 1/21 or so and then we’ll see:

Yeah Ridging was what I was thinking. That's what I wasn't seeing.

Where are you located in SC? You don't have to say the town but is it northwest, north central or northeast SC. That makes a difference in what you want to see.

I live in Anderson SC. Is this a good pattern for us to finally score or once again probably not?
You being along the 85 corridor certainly helps your chances. I'd say if anybody is going to sneak in an event in SC in the next 10 days it would be I85 and north. The long range pattern could definitely put the southern Upstate down to the Midlands more in play. But those modeled tall western ridges tend to flatten out as we get closer. Until we actually see one of those verify I'd be skeptical south of 85. If we were to see a -NAO try to develop we may can work with a more shallow +PNA.
