I just wanna point out that this all started with an anafrontal system. cold chasing moisture has turned into an all out midlat cyclone. We love to see it!

Using the HRRR and RAP soundings, we don't fully transition to snow here until around 8 am. After that, we might get a two-hour period of good rates while the lift is maximized, with maybe an hour or so of leftovers thereafter.

I’m not sure about that report, but seeing two in close proximity confirms that to me. It is definitely early. Mid-high 40s in that area right now

Don’t see much wrong with this I hope no one east of the mountains were expecting more than flakes but this still looks great a nice band of some probably heavier snow as it moves through .. looks the same as it always has

Best chances is along Highway 14 and east from the Greenville county and Spartanburg county borders. Probably nothing sticks but definitely a couple of hours of snow is possible in Spartanburg, Cherokee, Laurens, and maybe Union counties as this thing pivots out of here.

Latest NAM has a big fat 3 inches over my head. But gosh darn the gradient is so thin. 15 miles to the SE is nothing and 15 miles to the NW is 6 inches. Granted a lot of that is probably sleet but still conflicted on waking up early around 330 or 4.

I don’t like the looks of the radar for northwest Ga. Maybe it’s gonna fill in or the moisture will pivot over us. The models have very consistently put a snow hole from Centre, AL to Rome, Ga so maybe that’s how it was supposed to be anyway? Snow isn’t as magical as it was when I was a kid but it still gets me excited.

I can verify the app is incorrect. It's literally rain and temp in the low 50's. I just drove from Dalton to my home.in Ooltewah.

1.5 inches of wet slushy snow. Still coming down but nothing like what it was. 32 degrees. This is a major win here, imo.
