Yeah, I’d be ecstatic to get a back side thump!! We’re so due on this side of town…weather is cruel….I’ve fantasized over land in Waleska, Jasper etc…..

At least a 2 category improvement for many of us I think.
It has been consistent for the metro area the last 6 cycles or so.

Band of snow that moved through N MS about to enter NW AL seems to be diminishing in size

Yes, I’ve recall an overnight event from early 80’s where we received a very hard, wind driven and fine (in terms of flake size) that quickly accumulated for a very brief span. Maybe a 1/2 -1” during the complete 1 hour to hour and half span. It snowed sidewaysmanority of the event but was enough to get us out of school come mng?
Idk man it looks like it’s increasing to me. Plus radar is picking up on some precip now just east of I-55 in central MS. Far NE MS is getting a dumping and that’s moving your way over the next few hrs.
Not so much for us East of BHM. I think y’all do fine.

GSP just put 1-3 on my forecast for Brindletown and has Little Switzerland at an 1in I'm confused. Something I miss?
True but for a lot of East AL, it matched or exceeded the blizzard of ‘93. Not really a good event to use as a analog. Most of the time when we do well it’s with a true Miller A that stays a few hundred miles off the coast.

I like that you said “popping off” yea the UL energy still behind. Bhm needs heavy rates from now until that Piece gets here to cool and moisten the column before the UL gets ramped

They did that's what's confusing me. Unless there banking on the deform band idk but I'm not buying it.

Heavy snow sticking to elevated surfaces in Booneville, MS per family that live there.
Finally first snow Death band of the SE this year outside the mountains 
Might pick up a quick inch or perhaps a little more there that band is slowing down and there’s redevelopment behind it

Pretty cool to see all the dynamics in play around Memphis with the precip depiction mode. That is a sweet snow band pushing through Corinth, too.
Spann just went live on FB. He was actually pretty bullish. Said he wouldn’t be surprised to see some convection. Also thinks there will be a 3-4 inch total somewhere on lookout mountain or far NE Alabama.

I’d worry about moisture drying up as the storm pivots and moves NE.

Probably gonna start seeing snow reports here within a hour or so 
Not surprising the 850s temp is right on NE Border with MS/AL right now and speeding up toward the SE so as more cooling mixes in downstream show have more snow come in but hopefully for you guys that front whips around with the night hours cooling

Yeah Florence is flipping soon imo. Not surprised to see that sleet report from Flotown considering the rates
How long has it been snowing?
ULLs always make me so nervous. I’ve gotten screwed so many times (2009). Give me overrunning any day.
