Wow, this pattern is very stubborn. In the beginning of the season, I never would have guessed we would be stuck in this time-loop for weeks on end. Tic-Toc.... time is wasting.

Yeah the nam is definitely way to cold with this as we seen with many warm days so far this fall, I remember one time the nam was off 15 degrees one day. I’m willing to bet we’re gonna be in the mid/upper 60s on Christmas
Sorry, but I'm too burned with the unending -PNA pattern this winter to be ready to take the 18z seriously for the 300+ hour range of weenie delights for the southern plains.

I think that the staying power of warm SST’s in the Maritime Continent is a big factor because of the added convection.

But can the warmer SSTs cause reinforced warming into the stratosphere from updraft heating? If so, wouldn't that cause the ridge to remain for a prolonged period of time? Or to cause the ridge from weakening?
GFS run is progressing nicely. Maybe a signal it's sniffing out a pattern change sooner?

GFS is lowkey trending to a different look on the NPAC, more of a -WPO as well 
Here comes a fantasy storm, it might shear out tho, I wouldn’t take this run serious, need ensemble support

If there were a +PNA behind it, this thing could have dug and gone crazy. But nope.
