This is so crazy … we’re getting CAT 3 GUSTS that far from the center .. that’s how you know the intensity is no joke not hyperbole .. ITS REAL View attachment 89676
Right… that ain’t that high in a rapidly deepening cyclone .. doesn’t take but a sneeze to bring those winds downBut that's probably 300-400 feet above surface on those platforms.
You won’t be able to enjoy your TV and PS5, when your deadSome people are also terrified to leave their belongings behind and have people come loot their houses. I know that's not a great reason to stay but I think a lot of people have that mindset.
Impressive! You can watch the eye shrinking ??View attachment 89682
Amazing but very scary!!
Unfortunately it would have to stop intensifying to not make Cat 5, it's devastating either wayThis will likely be like Harvey and Michael in that it intensifies all the way until the eye has made landfall. Not sure it reaches cat 5 but it’s going to be close.

It happens every time. I respect it. When it bombs out something very bad has the risk of happening. When all 3 are bombing, watch out,What's sad is folks were making fun of the NAM yesterday for its depiction.
Seems it had the last evil laugh.
Yep, performing really well the last 2 years.HWRF & HMON have been spot on with landfall location
I wonder if TWC is relocating some of its reporters based on this morning’s events??Wow and I thought this was going to hit late tonight but this will actually be a daytime hitting hurricane .. which means those videos … get ready to see some unbelievable images from these brave storm chasers

It called a moat, the storm has a secondary wind maximum....eventually that would probably take over and Ida would pop a monster eye in a day or so if LA had not got in the way....
