What's even crazier about the middle TN flooding is we're supposedly getting into one of the drier times of the year. The early fall dry spell can't get here soon enough (unless we're going to get rain 5 days out of every week from now forever)

That sounding is close to being supportive of spinning up a barber pole LP updraft or 2 given the excellent upper level Storm relative winds from 6km and above and minor turning in the low levels, sucks it’s at night, solid soundings for some storms capable of hail tho 
Here in Dallas, we're on track for the wettest August we've had in 25 years (and a top 10 wettest).
Just need 0.20" more of precipitation to tie with 1996 and 0.16" more to crack the top 10 (currently at 4.82" for the month). Everything is so lush, green and tropical.
