Pattern Ablazing August

Actually seeing the HRRR starting to pick up on a few widely scattered showers this evening coupled with it's horrible mixing issues and seeing the 3k, I feel as though I might have a legit shot of storms today
 
I’m really suprised that CLT area temperatures have not over performed today. In fact I was forecasted a high of 96 and I may not reach that. It’s just 91 as of 3pm
 
Chattanooga finishing up with the 2nd wettest August, and 5th wettest meteorological summer going back to 1879.
Also, 2021 has become only the 3rd calendar year on record with multiple months of 11+ inches of precip.
