The HRRR really does have mixing issues doesn't it? Or is that a result of the Chalybeate Desert?
Mixing lol didn't happen Saturday or Sunday.
Actually seeing the HRRR starting to pick up on a few widely scattered showers this evening coupled with it's horrible mixing issues and seeing the 3k, I feel as though I might have a legit shot of storms today

I’m really suprised that CLT area temperatures have not over performed today. In fact I was forecasted a high of 96 and I may not reach that. It’s just 91 as of 3pm
96/70 at RDU at the 2:51 update. The janky 5min obs have a handful of 97s over the last hour

You were incorrect. Enough 97s in the 5min obs that I'd say that's the high at RDU. Although it blipped to 96 at 3:51 so they'll prolly say H96, which is really dumb, but whatever

DFW snagged an intra-hour 100*F today, the 7th of the year.
Kind of funny the only two 100*F+ days this August were at the very beginning and very end of the month.
