I feel like 90L could hit the s/e esp Florida. I’m not
Buying the out to sea cone yet

Wouldn't it have been easier just to fly directly from Tulsa into Houston? Or, an I correct im assuming there were no direct flights between Tulsa and Houston on American (since that's a hub for United)?

Long story but I had an American flight credit to use and that's the only reason I flew and yeah you had to have a layover in DFW. United did have some nonstops I think but that really wasn't the issue I wanted to use the credit since this is when I was moving and money was a bit of an issue plus it was a credit if you don't use it you lose it. See this was the third attempt at using the credit I was supposed to go to Lake Tahoe last winter but cancelled due to Covid/moving then originally my parents were going to meetup in Florida and go to the beach there then when I moved that changed to them coming here so I was again left coming with a plan and time was ticking and I just went back to what I've done the last 2 summers except I drove... Yeah

If I ever fly again I'm not having a layover if I can help it lol

In all fairness, I've only been to OKC (which reminds me of a mini-Dallas). I do think OKC especially might become another "IT: city as more folks are priced out of Dallas (it's only a 3-hour drive away).

But I will say I think part of Tulsa's problem is that it's having to compete with OKC, which is experiencing much more growth/business investment. It's kind of like the dynamic going on right now in Tennessee with Memphis vs. Nashville.

That said, from what I hear, Tulsa has a decent art/museum scene for its size and is much "prettier" than OKC since there's relatively more tree coverage.

Oh trust me OKC was always high on my list of cheap places to move(easy drive from Dallas etc) but at the end of the day Tulsa won out due to more scenery lol

There's some good scenery not far from you in NW AR.

BTW, just out of curiosity, did you qualify for that $10K relocation incentive when you moved to Tulsa?
