Warm nosing....it’s coming to those north of you as well. I said it earlier...front end thump before the warm nose kills it.
Drop it about 20 miles SE.
I’m literally on the blue line as it crosses Huntsville and I got a rain/sleet/maybe snow mix but mostly rainAny of our Al posters live in the circled area? What ptype are you getting?View attachment 76049
Getting sleet now, five miles north of the top lineAny of our Al posters live in the circled area? What ptype are you getting?View attachment 76049
Saw a sleet report Knoxville, wonder if Big Frosty, powerstroke poinman get sleeted first couple hours. The soundings arent as bad warm nose wise WS n/w. But 30 miles east in gso it punches in and the airport is about the stopping point, it drops off quick west of that point.
I'm essentially just on your line right at Huntsville and we've switched over to mostly rain here. and warmed just above freezing.Any of our Al posters live in the circled area? What ptype are you getting?View attachment 76049

Thanks for chiming in! I was wondering if the back edge of the heavier returns was basically the change from snow lineI'm essentially just on your line right at Huntsville and we've switched over to mostly rain here. and warmed just above freezing.
Same here.. did get a car topper of sleet for what that’s worth. Rains now washing it away #winning34/33 in Hayden, AL

Yup! On the west side of the parkway it's pouring snow and here at my house on the east side it's rain. Very sharp gradient between the rain/ snow linethis gradient is incredible. I am on the hampton cove side of monte sano and all we have is rain.

I don’t think I see that much ice here but I may be wrong
Is it even cold?Just confirming 0.00 here
Its probably winters last stand.Hope it looks like Siberia when you wake up.
Yea, soundings look better than the maps. Weird. NAM dried a little that run but still really close on soundings for the first 4 or 5 hours. After that, it is +5 c so likely ZR at that point. I am slightly worried about snow to ZR that gets more surface area in the trees. Sleet would knock it all down. I intend to sleep through all of the question marks and wake up to ZRRNK tweeted hour or so ago, Most areas will start as snow! showed starting in Mt.Airy 12am IDK

Models have dewpoints inching downward through the night into the morning with the 30 degree dew point line getting down to near you. It'll be interesting to see where we are the morningStill 41 just south of Chapel Hill NC. Is it possible these warmer temps might save us? I’m not trying to (freezing) rain on anybody’s parade, but I’d like for the power to stay on.
Calvander and those areas off of hwy 54 west seem to do the best around that area in marginal temp fzrn events.Still 41 just south of Chapel Hill NC. Is it possible these warmer temps might save us? I’m not trying to (freezing) rain on anybody’s parade, but I’d like for the power to stay on.
My brother lives in that area and got a mixed bag of sleet and rain at 32 degreesAny of our Al posters live in the circled area? What ptype are you getting?View attachment 76049
If we were to get something similar to what is in SE Va to near @metwannabe down here we would be in big trouble. That Danville to GSO to Roxboro area isn't going to be prettyHow is the feed upstream?
