Changed to heavy sleet, that’s what I was thinking the high returns on radar would be. Upgraded to a winter storm warning in Madison.
Light sleet just started here in Huntsville. And we were just upgraded to a WSW for up to 3" of snow and sleet accumulation.

Switched to a sleet mix here
We just switched to snow and sleet. I did say rain at first but edited. I went and looked because it had gotten quiet, but its because of the snow.

Displaced east, this appears to be a more robust SLP eyeballing it based on radar and surface obs. Buckle up CAD region, lights out.

0z HRRR is warmer again. I think all of Wake sees cold rain and never gets below freezing. Even Durham county looks to be fringed

I'll stick this tweet thread in here wrt the warm nose at KGSO tomorrow morning because I don't wanna retype all this lol. Spent basically all day working on getting this data right, hope y'all enjoy. Definitely gonna be closely watching for the KGSO sounding tomorrow morning.
incoming sleet fest for the valleys in East TN per the 0z HRRR - 4 hours worth for CHA (seems overdone IMO), but guess we're about to find out lol
