I'm gonna be so ready when this next 5 days or so is over ?
You ain’t ready for the carnage afterwards . Millions of dollars in damages and a death toll. Agriculture is about to take a big hit, everybody’s steak prices about to go up up up , wheat as well so bread and other products . Also get ready for spring because half of what’s in Dallas will be dead and not bloom this spring . This is why I generally don’t root for this level of cold . You can enjoy cold temps without it ever getting that brutal.

what’s even crazier is the avg high in Dallas is in the 60s rn! We couldn’t ever get that cold in March when our avg high is in the 60s . We can get cold but not THAT cold lol!

If I could just get a week of winter like weather in winter I would call it a win and want 70's for the rest of winter. Sadly that doesn't happen here hahaha. Enjoy your winter weather! I'm happy
for you but not happy for the areas that have already seen 2 snow storms ???

I’ve lived in the Northern Gwinnett County for pretty much all of my life(besides being at UGA to pursue my atmospheric sciences degree), but since 2014, the best winter event I’ve seen there is February 2020, which is sad considering it was just around 3 hours of wet snow that melted in the afternoon.

You didn't get anything in the January 2018 event that came out of nowhere?

EDIT: I think it was Jan 2018, but not totally sure.

Carolina weather sucks. Humid as hell in the summer, cold and muddy in winter. I'd take any other climate
Summer is awesome, if there’s one thing that’s good, it’s the summer storms, imo it seems like the last few years have been pretty good for them, I wonder if all these rains earlier in the season/right before mean higher DPs later on in summer

My mother tried telling me that we get one storm every 2 weeks in summer. I highly disagree with that but she was 100000% confident ??

God i hope not. Don't tell me you're one of those who likes high DP's.

Try higher ! 90/78 on repeat bud! Avg dewpoint in Raleigh is higher than CLT in summer as well!
That’s cool and all but I’m near a trigger source with the UHI, the Lee trough, and the sfc trough to the south that brings OFBs up here

Can't wait for summer storm season.

Nothing like seeing a cumulonimbus or anvil cloud from 50+ miles away.
This is something I’ve been meaning to ask, those of y’all that are storm watchers, what’s the best range (miles) to observe from for big structure?

Weather does what it will I can’t control it lol. I’m just saying why I personally dislike this kind of cold .
I agree, I just get annoyed when people complain about people liking one form of precip that has negative consequences, as if all the weather we like doesn’t cause massive property damage and deaths. It is what it is, it’s not like we control it.

If I lived somewhere like Montana I wouldn’t honestly mind it because it’s common place there . But Texas at 33 north? Oooff. I can’t get behind it lol

Meh summer storms are cool at times but i like dry boring summer weather (lower humidity the better)

These avatars have me more confused than all of the weather models. What the ---- has happened?!

Let’s recap.

I thought @Sleet City USA’s profile picture was
@Myfrotho704_ ‘s.

@SD changed his profile picture to be of @Myfrotho704_.

I changed my profile picture to @Brick Tamland.

I changed mine to Birdman after lots of backlash.

@Myfrotho704_ changed his to @Brick Tamland

I changed mine back to Ollie Williams

@Lickwx and several others changed their profile pictures to @Brick Tamland

Ok so is it national Brick Tamland day or something with all these avatars or did he pass away or something I’m confused ??
We all caught the brick bug. It came from @SD . There’s a reason SD is one letter short of STD. I can’t be the only one who thinks STD though when they see SD

-12 degrees like this don’t make no ------- sense I can’t even feel my damn body warming this car up

-27 Friday ! Now that’s something ! -27 is the Alabama state record low actually . Set in the 60s in new market Alabama . A place at 700 feet of elevation only . How on earth that’s even possible I have no clue !
