this cabin is abt the same distance from Raleigh and Erwin. So my friends from Raleigh meet us here and we go to winterplace together

Luckily we don't depend on it. We actually figured nothing this winter as most said mild. So doesn't surprise me what we have had

31.1 degrees. cars and mulch covered in sleet. around 0.1" ice on elevated surfaces so far.
At one point I got down to 32.4 degrees (..not freezing). Hopefully tonight we can get a small event of just less that .25". --> Turns everything to glass but doesn't take down power.

Evergreens getting a little heavy looking back home in Kernersville. Barely anything in downtown Greensboro.
32.0, the rain just don't get any colder....I can maybe see a little patchy tree top glaze and I am seeing streaks of ice on hood of vehicles. But for the most part just miserable cold rain
temps yesterday in 40s so nothing on roads but trees have a light glaze.
Tonight might do it. The latest 12z HRRR just came in a little colder; now showing freezing rain for the counties the NWS put under advisories.
Little Ice/Sleet on the old hunting/fishing Jeepster this morning. Also lgt glaze on trees/deck I’d say 0.01-0.02. had a low of 31.4 currently 32/31

Light glaze here, with about 0.1 to 0.2" of sleet on deck from overnight...still a bit of freezing rain/drizzle now
I saw that, that's warning material in spots. A trend that needs to be watched throughout today.
No evidence of any icing here. Just cold rain.
