Here's the deal, if it goes like your forecast says for the next 2 weeks, you are not allowed to complain in any winter for the next 5 years!!!Yay the warmest time of day too lolView attachment 74024View attachment 74025
Where are you skiing? Closest place I can think of is Winterplace, but that’s not super close, either.
Nice!! Winterplace is nice!this cabin is abt the same distance from Raleigh and Erwin. So my friends from Raleigh meet us here and we go to winterplace together
33 and rain for you. Resistance is futile!Wonder if some tree tops get a icy glaze, close call between nothing and some trees getting some light ice on them (I want some ice photos) View attachment 74070View attachment 74071

Luckily we don't depend on it. We actually figured nothing this winter as most said mild. So doesn't surprise me what we have hadMight run out of business with the lack of snow/ice we been having, lol, just joking. But this winter blows
temps yesterday in 40s so nothing on roads but trees have a light glaze. For us northern NC folks Traid - Triangle - Northern coastal plain, tonight might be our biggest shot of getting a winter event (that's if the Icon is off it's rocker for early next week). So we'll start with the NWS:

It must be noted that there are models that do not show ice as far south, particularly for the Triangle. But it's all we (I) have at the moment.
Tonight might do it. The latest 12z HRRR just came in a little colder; now showing freezing rain for the counties the NWS put under advisories.32.0, the rain just don't get any colder....I can maybe see a little patchy tree top glaze and I am seeing streaks of ice on hood of vehicles. But for the most part just miserable cold rain
I saw that, that's warning material in spots. A trend that needs to be watched throughout today.Tonight might do it. The latest 12z HRRR just came in a little colder; now showing freezing rain for the counties the NWS put under advisories.
