Both NAMs came in colder 
Boo! Probably a little over done but showing indications of a bit more CAD press into NC. I'll just take sleet and/or snow, please!

The ice accrual is starting to take over the landscape . Im suprised how quick its building up. Beatifull right now.

Wow this is crazy with the last minute trends with CAD ... I’m seeing the constant feed of dried cooler air coming in today and tonight and I feel like things are about to get more dicey than people thought .. again like I said before watch this CAD event to see what happens with the big storms CAD event
It looks like the CAD is finally making it's way down here. Temperature has dropped 9 degrees in the past 2 hours. It's 49/46. The dewpoint has been dropping a lot faster tho.
That is a considerable jump south on the 3K NAM, hmmm

12km NAM has GSO bottoming out at 29 tomorrow morning. That’s a different ballgame right there. TW

There is considerably more ice on the north side of Kernersville compared to south of 40 business. I'm two miles north of downtown and my temp is 31.3 and I'm noticing some sagging of the tree limbs here.

I haven’t looked. I’m on the road. I know I was supposed to be above freezing though!

I've dropped to 30.9. Definite signs of colder-than-modeled regime setting in for tonight.
36/34 looks like the freezing rain tonight should hang just to my north

Yea, looks like RAH has me below freezing from 7pm-10am. But a lot of that is 32 or 31. Certainly not great for accrual.
I'm keeping an eye out in case they lower minimum temps tonight, but definitely not feeling this one for here. Bet Roxboro jackpots at least .20'' though. lol

Really depends on rates here lol .. (kind of funny how rates can effect winter precip in different way in regards to snow and ice) if you get light mist and drizzle to start that can accrual a bit easier than if it was straight rain at 31-32 ... if we get to 30-31 then it starts raining that’s a problem
For example the latest HRRR getting close to a quarter of an inch here in Raleigh ... here we go
31 at night could be just enough for a couple slick spots on a bridge or overpass here or there, just enough of a risk to warrant the WWA imho. Plus another degree and it gets real interesting
35/34. Down .3 last hour.
I had jumped up to ~35 earlier, but now have dropped to 33.6 degrees. For that to happen at mid day, colder air has to be filtering in now for us Triangle folks.

30.6 here and trees are already glazed. I don't think we're going to get above 32 until tomorrow.
Looks like RDU is back down to 34, as well.
