Wintry February 6th-7th

Its been straight snow for a good 20 minutes now, nice size flakes, to bad its only 36.4F or it would have the ground covered already. As it is its trying to accumilate on elevated surfaces.
Whereabouts are you exactly? We can’t be that far apart.
Predominantly sleet now. We will rebuild!

38/34 Mostly sleet with some rain. Getting a little bit of wet slush to accumulate on elevated surfaces.

Northeastern Cobb County near where Johnson Ferry Rd. dead ends into Shallowford. Most of this area sits at 1100-1200' in the shadow of Sweat Mountain.

Wet bulb temperature has actually dropped slightly to 34.6F. Current temp 35.6F

might start seeing some snow reports soon once the column cools before the warm nose gets going 5CC17E0F-3303-4BC8-AC12-9B471C2140FA.png

my 1m temp is now 41.7/20 (just south of DT Greenville)
curious as to current temps in Northern Oconee/Pickens/Greenville Counties...
Report i got from Mtn Rest a few minutes ago was 39 with snow and rain mix. I figured he was a lot cooler than me but not yet. Im surprised as to how quick it has dripped here tbh

Looks like a couple of mping reports of snow near Jasper and Dahlonega. Anybody up there got anything?
Little late , but now have light snow falling in Jasper. 37/30. Nice marshmallow flakes. Just started around 5:35 or so.

The warm nose has arrived, all sleet now. Another accuracy pointed out by the HRRR.

I don’t think so lol. Everyone is mid 40s in the upstate. The temps aren’t gonna fall that fast.

It was all about the dry air today. We all reached the high 40s and 50s down here, but with dewpoints in the teens and a wind not from the south was the recipe.
