Any chance Anderson SC gets in on any of this or is it gonna stay rain here.
The mountains could slow the cold air down enough to keep us rain here in upstate SC. Maybe that gfs map will be right though and we do get snow this far east. It’s 53 in Pickens county temps better drop fast. I would say it’s possible

It will skip over the 3 far nw counties as the cold air will get delayed to push over the mountains and the moisture will be gone.Is it going to move into sc as well seen someone posted 18z gfs and it showed it moving into sc as well

Heavy snow shower here! I remember being told i wouldn’t see a flake ??
Thats a hard pill to swallow watching literally everybody else around u getting flakes. Toccoa and Oconee and parts of Anderson...we suck

You ain't lying brother..we benefits on Cads only here...Fropas very rarely ever work out. Has to be some serious dynamics which this one is close. I never expected a flakes here at 1000ftDownsloping sucks
Gonna be a close call here (Covington)View attachment 59982Savor it folks. Pretty effing incredible seeing this here on Christmas Eve.

You just need the right kind of setup, NW flow usually doesn’t work out. You need overrunning a perfect upper low track to your south or a super amped coastal-slightly inland sfc low to really maximize snow thereIf this is really true I don’t know why I even bothered to join this forum lol it seems impossible for my area. Just about as impossible as Florida.
Yes it does. this is not the best set up for us with the mountains blocking the cold air (or delaying it long enough for the moisture to get out). I am usually hopeful in these situations but usually end up being bummed lolThats a hard pill to swallow watching literally everybody else around u getting flakes. It’s amazing watching downslope effect Oconee, Pickens, Anderson, and western Greenville counties. Areas from Taylors, SC west might be able to sneak some flakes tonight and tomorrowIf this is really true I don’t know why I even bothered to join this forum lol it seems impossible for my area. Not yet. There’s still a chance of snow flurries tonight. Was that it for Atlanta?
Dropped to 51...woohoo
