it’s not the only factor but GA, TX, and FL are hard hit as well. There is a lot we don’t know. Severity of the virus earlier on may be a huge factor too. I hope that’s the case.

Firstly I’m not MAGA.

Secondly the spike started weeks ago now and deaths across these areas are still flat to falling.

Who were the governors that decided to keep everything open as long as possible even when cases and hospitalizations skyrocketed and opened earlier than everyone else and are seeing a massive uptick in cases?

Oh those are Republican states with clowns like Kemp (GA) & DeSantis running the show

Then the argument you made about the virus getting weaker is moot. In any case the Democrat states bungled this horribly. To gripe about Trump and not them is just plain goofy and partisan.

Let's all be honest. They expected places like Texas, Georgia and Florida to peak during the summer and be a hell of a lot worse. People are counting their chickens too soon. The trends we're seeing in Europe and Northern regions of the US is consistent with trends during other pandemics. The areas in Brazil and the monsoon areas of India are also consistent with past outbreaks. If the past trends stay consistent, Europe and NY are up for a significant wave starting around mid-September.

They aren’t the president and aren’t running for president. What happened to the buck stops here. It never does with trump. He could have taken control early on and led with a strong federal response.
