Governor of SC following suit and closing all dine in restaurants. Only Take out options. Final step which is likely by the end of the week is putting the state on a Lock-down if that does not come from the federal level before then.

Hopefully neither case would ask for shelter in place as other countries and I think SF have for everything outside of essential stuff and it would be more like what the NY governor said (don't gather in crowds, but if you're close to a good area for it you can go out in nature). As if they ask for shelter in place we're going to have to cancel our plans that were going to take us into SC, where we were going to go to the Carolina Bay Nature Preserve.

That’s just it. Majority of people have hardly any symptoms and back to normal in 2 weeks. I just hope all these steps work and the economy can come back and not descend into a depression. Will it all be worth it if the economy collapses.

My belief is that Ups and Fed Ex will close
I think the govt will do everything they can to keep them open. A lot of supplies will be sent out. People at home buying from Amazon, etc. I'm wondering how many groceries will be ordered for delivery.

I could be wrong though. I think Fedex delivers in Europe. Wonder if they've been closed down over there yet?

Sometimes I wonder would it have been best to ignore this virus. Considering the fatality rate is so low. A majority of people having very minor symptoms. Is all of this worth a Great Depression? A total collapse of the countries economy? I don’t know but then I I think I’m foolish for thinking we should ignore it. But then you wonder why isn’t the flu which is more deadly taken more seriously. But I don’t know anymore what I think just got to wait and hope for the best.

No matter what the cost to America. I don’t think it can come back from it. Cost estimate is already 1 trillion.

Per mngr, most if not all gyms are closing in NC after tonight. Planet Fitness closing for two weeks is confirmed. Employees were told this but told not to tell the public yet. Today will be the last day open. Governor may discuss further for the public.

There's not even a remote chance that Fedex or UPS would be shut down - freight transportation companies are considered essential services. The US is even permitting Fedex cargo to continue operations to/from the hotbed of Europe.

From Hickory planet fitness which includes the entire Charlotte market planet fitness gyms for those in NC. If you would like a free live workout it starts at 7pm tonight on their FB page.

This stuff has to be way more widespread than we think.

It is I have seen numbers like 25-50k current cases as the low end 75-150k as the high end with these numbers expected to double a few times before the shutdowns really start to slow it down....

Are you really saying America, as in our country can't come back from this? Ok I've been mainly a reader of this thread and have appreciated the information here. But all of us are on a weather board. On average we are probably more intelligent than our neighbors, so let's act like it. We are the ones that don't act out of fear, we warn others to help them be informed. We know when things are coming before they happen and that earns you respect, and then people look to you. So let's lead by example. Keep our emotions in check and make thoughtful posts and decisions. Be leaders.
