Steadier sleet now, snow starting to mix in more as well.
Nice flakes right now.
Shamefully local Mets are DECREASING snow amounts around the triangle .. if this pans out then a piss poor job they’ve done covering this major winter storm
Gonna bust my forecast for Surry/Wilkes. Gonna end up closer to 4” if heavy snow continues like this.
Some pretty big flakes mixing in - temp is down to 35

CC appears to have ceased its northward progression, even in to the Coastal Plain, and now drifting south. Sitting at 39.4/37.2 and lost approx 0.10" to a -IP/RN mix so far. No change in 4pm start time for Greenville, should be fully transition by 6.

In the last hour we have dropped from 40.1 to 32.7 with light to moderate snow. We have a solid dusting and light to moderate wet snow continues in Kernersville.

These are 1 inch per hour rates here at GSO airport. Its cooling the air down fast no doubt, finally slushing on metal and cars. Lost close to a 1/4 inch accum already. Thats fustrating part
Light rain here in at the office in Louisburg but rn/sn mix back at the homestead up near RR. Should be a fun drive home

it’s been heavy sleeting in Anderson for 45+ minutes, now a sleet and wet snow mix. Interested to see what it will be like at home in Easley.

Just got home in NW Randolph County. More of a white rain situation right now. Looks like flakes, but lands like rain. Down to 37 on the old car thermometer. Waiting for the heavier returns around sunset when we can start accumulating.

Nothing here yet, but I've had almost an inch of rain so far.
-RN now, picking up a bit. I’m not outside now, but I’m seeing some bigger precip falling as well that is probably sleet and/or snow mixing in.
This is how much snow I have on my pseudo-soil.
