IMHO (and very humble) 500s are more important - then 2M ... but just me ...What do the 925's really mean? I thought 850 was what we needed for snow.

If the 850's are above freezing and everything below 925 is below freezing, you will generally get sleet. That's just a simple explanation and there are various moving parts to that so it's not always the case. What do the 925's really mean? I thought 850 was what we needed for snow.
I thought that model output didn't include fropa anymore?
You missed it by a 6 hour drive ... LOLI wish this would extend down towards Atlanta.![]()

If I had GSP leading me! It is 6 hours from here to there ...LOL. Actually, it's only like a 2-3 hour drive.
Upstream radar looks pretty good for there. Now that it's dark it should accumulate much easier when that next batch gets up there.I'm at Mont Eagle, dusting on grassy surfaces, vehicles covered. Sitting currently at 32 degrees
I'm off the mtn in Jasper, snowing hard here now. 34 degreesI'm at Mont Eagle, dusting on grassy surfaces, vehicles covered. Sitting currently at 32 degrees
Webb - Gotta plan for you and me since this whole thing sucks - Let's both go outside, take a deep drink of fresh air (and pollen here), and then regroup - enough computer!!! (for a short while anyways)
Best! Phil
Charlie... im bout 15 miles north of I 40... I got about 3 inches on the ground now... but think she is about done here... returns back in Arkansas seem to be pushing bit more south now..1-2 inches looks like a fair bet south of i40 in Tennessee

I just took a relaxing 4.2 mile walk in the pleasantly cool and dry Canadian air, which is the start of a winterlike 7 days. Very refreshing to say the least and looking forward to the coming freeze(s).
Yes! And stay!Should I make the drive to Maryland/Northern VA on Monday morning ?
I want to experience a foot of snow. I've never experienced more than 10"Yes! And stay!
Waiting on my cold rain!![]()
I've experienced 12 inches last year and 10 the year before in bowling green Kentucky. There's not much difference but either way it's a lot of snow. Last season 12 inches fell at my house and most of it within a 5 hour period. Heaviest snow I've ever seen fall.I want to experience a foot of snow. I've never experienced more than 10"
I got right at 13 inches on February 28 2009... that big bowling ball ull came out of Missouri... thunder snow with that.. awesome nightI've experienced 12 inches last year and 10 the year before in bowling green Kentucky. I'm starting to think the northern suburbs of Atlanta might not see any snow.
They were never supposed to.
I did once in 1988! It's overrated, had 16" of powder, with temps in the mid teens! It was meh....I want to experience a foot of snow. I've never experienced more than 10"
I'm not sure how you are 42 and i'm 44. I guess the further north you go the warmer it is ?Getting lots of mid 30s to my west. Temp down to 42 / 41 and dropping still. If only we got heavier precipitation and the 850s dropped by morning... Oh well. I had snow this year, so it isn't that big of a loss.
