Anyone know what the TT site routinely stalls out and doesn't add images for new model runs, when they're already available on other sites? For example, the 12 GFS has been stalled at hr 36 for a long time, and it's missing some panels for periods even before hr 36. It does this all the time.

Data source/connection problems likely.
The service is 100% free, so to be expected sometimes. I would assume he gets his American model data from NWS themselves.. doesn't mean his servers always have good connections though.

Temps overachieving so far today, despite brisk wind. After a cloudy low start of 36 at 8 AM, full sunshine has gotten the temp at the local airport to 47. Forecast high is 44.

Seeing a few reports of sleet now in Durham county, which is consistent with the drop on CC occurring there

I actually did happen to see about 3-4 mPING reports of sleet mixed w/ rain in Burlington & Mebane.

I took a look and today's sun angle is approximately the same as February 8th. No wonder those late winter snows melt so fast.
