Yep everything is popping quickly. Nothing like an early spring green up that will get zapped in a couple of weeks
Oh, May weather here is more like low to mid 80s, and if we're unlucky, high 80s to low 90s. Today is more like April weather. It felt nice, I'll be honest, especially after a dreary Saturday, and in the sun it almost felt hot.
By the end of May it's pretty much routine summer weather in most of North GA. It seems like we usually have our first 90 degree day in the last 10 days of May.
I really wouldn't be shocked to see a freeze around the 10th

Especially up our way, a March hard freeze is certainly a possibility. In fact I think it happened last year, seems I remember my centipede grass coming out then a big frost and it burned some of it back....had a few bare spots from that

Well just remember our "Easster Dreeze" in 2007.. Heavy losses to fruit crops and significant tree defoliation
Felt more like late march/early april today with highs in the middle 60s... looks like May weather by mid week with highs near 73-75... average high doesn't reach that high until the last day or April and beginning of May(based off accuweather and weather.com averages). Unreal! Seeing some blooms here, but not as much as others are reporting. My entire subdivisions Bermuda is still dormant thankfully... but it won't be for much longer =/ I can hear the mower now =/

I'm always impressed with the climate across North & Central GA...while some sites (mostly east and south) have had multiple days above 70 this month, I've only had 2. I guess that explains the lack of blooms here verses other areas. I looked up Atlanta and they have had 6, Augusta 10, Cartersville 2, Rome 2, Kennesaw 2, Peachtree City 6...useless information lol. Just found it interesting to see the differences.

Averages on both of those sites say otherwise. Not that I am here to debate it, lol, I could careless. That's trivial. Just wanted to include it in my post as either way, it is warm as hell for February. Now after the first week or so in May, yes it would be below normal but it clearly states in my post "end of April/beginning of May" lol.

Yeah, a long time ago, Accuweather bought out the "Weather Model Animator" and turned it into their own thing. I do hope Ryan eventually gets his modeling links laid out better. Anyways, here is an example of the original weather model animator that accuweather have taken control of for their modeling page. At least, it used to be along these lines:

I have the original code/scripts to it and was thinking about setting something up with modeling from tidbits, wxcaster, noaa etc... but it's old now and I think I can do something better with new technologies out there.
