Severe Severe weather threat April 17-19

I believe a line will develop around 9-11am and perhaps get quite strong. Seems like something the hrrr has been showing going across Ne Georgia and into upstate sc. Even has tornado soundings

HRRR has those same soundings here and we didn’t even get thunder and lightning. So take it with a grain of salt

I saw the MCV popping up on the hrrr in northern AL/MS this morning, then I wondered if that may speed up the line even more, GA barely had ingredients for stronger storms anyways in the first place, 0-100 jkg of MUcape, lots of MUcin, poor lapses, I’d still agree on stronger storms for the Carolinas/Florida tommorow

Didn’t even get thunder in Atlanta. Marginal wouldn’t have verified much less a slight risk.

Might have spoke too soon given the trends with the line and instability/moisture transport upstream. And FFC might have been too conservative with the new watch area.

That being said, I did at least get some thunder here with the initial line before it fell apart.

Yeah that new line is impressive on radar
