Wintry March 05-06th 2019 Wintry Weather

nam showing the tongue of precip over clt now, similar to the hrrr. precip shield is healthier and further inland as well but looks like ran in eastern sc.

Well GL to the areas that do get snow tonight/tomorrow, good to see areas not get completely shut out

Looks like some nice mix in TX/MS/LA. Overperformer or was this modeled?

I'd like to note that if something was to occur like the NAM shows, there may be enough time and rates to actually cool the BL down enough to allow some sleet/mix to reach the surface in areas thought to be predominantly rain.. that of course, is a big if. 850's aren't too shabby.

...POTENTIAL FOR A LIGHT WINTRY MIX OVERNIGHT...

An upper level disturbance will bring the potential for some light
precipitation to areas of central Georgia overnight. A light mix
of rain, flurries and sleet are possible mainly between the
southern suburbs of Atlanta to Macon, including Columbus and
LaGrange. Since the airmass is very dry and the ground is warm, no
accumulation of wintry precipitation is expected.
