Misc Winter Whamby 2020, a New Decade

I hope you're right! A few years ago it would have been crazy to panic this early. Most snows come end of Jan and into Feb. But when the past 4 Feb's have ended with leaves budding on trees it kinda doesn't give you a warm fuzzy feeling inside anymore going into it.

The attitude on this board Is definitely down. Which I get it we are headed into our last good month of winter and it’s not looking promising. We’ve been spoiled the last two years with a December storm. And now this year we are in January and the future for rest of winter looks questionable. The funny thing is every meteorologist maybe embarrassed if there winter forecast busts.

This back and forth crap with the models makes me wonder if 5G really is interfering with the forecast. Someone brought it up before and I found some info in the link below on it.

Unfortunately tha cold phases that support cold in winter actually support warmth/heat dome/big ridge/death ridge in may

Ok, towel is thrown! Now on to summer planting. Got to get ahead of the weeds, too. Oh, GeorgiaGirl, this snap won't kill the bugs. Not cold enough, long enough, especially in Augusta, GA. Lee side of the mountains is going to keep you warmer than surrounding areas. Sorry!

Yeah, I'm cancelling my trip to Sugar Mountain. It's hopeless. Gonna eat the deposit, but oh well.

Take a few hours and then when you come back the Eeyore will be back to cold lol. I seriously doubt 18z will have this crap.
Yep, and watch it turn to phase 2+ during mid May, that supports a death ridge of heat n humidity but subsidence

We've already been in late spring and even almost early summer wx. Lows 30 warmer than normal! Enough of that crap. I'd like to get back to early spring wx and even late winter wx , if possible.

My dad's blueberry crop was basically completely wiped out with a grand total of two freezes in March 2017 where it got to 24/27 and it's only the second time that thing happened. The kind of stuff I'm worried about goes into hibernation with even fairly moderate cold now that I'm looking...sorry if I don't buy that this cold weather isn't going to help.
Like there's been more bugs recently then stretches in November, and November had a few cold spells but nothing ridiculous.

I’m going to go ahead and submit my grade for this winter. It is an F. I recommend remedial classes on how to properly execute winter n the southeastern u.s.
