I need to find my post from two days ago. I said the sweet spot would be from Wake northeast to Norfolk.
 
Actually the DT map isn't even bad. Not saying it's 100% right... but it's not that bad.
 
I’m not feeling super confident here, however congratulations to those in better areas. My goal would be 6 inches, I’ll have the precipitation it just depends on the warm nose.
 
I will force a 2 piece dinner back up my throat if the foothills see a skip-a-roo Lee dee doo doo and see a relative minimum of under 1”.

Cannot stress to you just quite how bothersome the rn/sn line is to me
 
This will end up as rain all the way into VA. 90% of this board misses out on snow with this one.
 
I for one must state while I do not hate snow , I don’t want it to snow I need to make money ! NW trend it to the Ohio valley !

I think you're probably not far from I-59 if I remember your location correctly as you have had it before, if it were me, I'd simply get on I-59 and drive into Northwest GA, then get off I-59 and head east some. Not exactly sure where I'd stop, but one guess would be maybe Blue Ridge, GA (to not take it too far). If you were to choose to do this, lol, any more that you can get will need to be looked at in a map. I know Northwest GA fairly well, but not sooooo well I can give a lot.

If that's too far, while I do think all of far North AL might see snow, I still think far NE AL is probably your best bet. That would be the same thing of find I-59 and just drive until you don't feel like it anymore (with that hopefully landing you in NE AL). Although that does include a small issue, NE AL is pretty to me when I've been there, but there's almost nothing there until you get to the Chattanooga metro, if you were to need some accommodations.

Edit: Just looked at the NAM, if that case were to be true, that firms up what I think. Areas west of the Carolinas that are in the best shape might include far NE AL.

Head up on Sand Mountain for best bet... Scottsboro is actually a nice little town, Guntersville also. It is beautiful country. Used to drive a route through North Alabama for years, it was my favorite area.
 
Not sure if I should be more worried about a lack of precip or a warm nose at this point. Probably the latter with the way models are trending.
 
I’ll take another 3.4in Storm again!

How about a Gibb's Head Slap emoji for anybody who talks about ground temps unless the expected precipitation or rates are going to be a trace or extremely light..
 
Yep head north if you can guys you don't gotta go too far, a two hour drive should do it. Don't forget you've still got all day tomorrow for this to get even worse for your area. Heed my words.
 
@SD @KyloG Hope you guys are mentally prepared for an inch of slop followed by hours of sleet, while people 10 miles north are making snowmen. We know how this one ends. At least we have a bona fide winter storm to track now. I'm finally confident of that much.

Yep hopefully we can get 40 inches of liquid so I can get a decent sleet storm

I still don’t think we are predominately sleet. A whiff is still my concern.
