Misc Winter Whamby 2020, a New Decade

So do we now refer to you as rainbow children and constantly ask “What does it mean?”
I got lots of ideas folks. Lots of ideas.
Most people don't believe spring and summer patterns have anything to do with the following winter. And it may not. It just seems really strange we always are cold mid March through mid May. Then bake from the end of May through the 1st half of October. Then like clockwork are cold from mid Oct til mid December only to flip warm and ruin winter. Wash, rinse and repeat every single year.
Maybe some will be right and we'll be cold February into mid March. I'd be curious to see if we could break the streak of spring like February temps lately, actually have an above average April and May, if we'd have a cooler summer? Would love to see warmth mid October to mid December and see if we could flip cold January and February.
No science behind this at all, just observations made thru the years. Seems like we need to get out of the cold springs and hot first halves of fall.

I had no idea
I wasn't at home at the time, but downtown where there were no radar returns, so I can't really say. As many times as I've had light snow with nothing on radar it wouldn't surprise me if there was something. However, nobody has confirmed anything anywhere so who knows.
Well we’re sittin down there pretty for next winter?
Man that's ugly. Alaska warm and the SER has still dominated the east. What gives here? Those two usually don't teleconnect I didn't think?

No arctic blocking...we rely on the pacific and PV to visit for cold and even with that we deal with the Atlantic ridge.
Same.. I had mud heaves in shaded spots that have been there for over 24 hours..big win..I’ll orobably never forget this
