My goal is to one day spend the month of January out there at Togowotee or Brooks Lake Lodge snowmobiling and cross country skiing. You can drive to the Togowotee Lodge off 287 however to get you to Brooks Lake off 287 you have to take a snow tractor vehicle in

Speaking of ppl being shunned for Saying Pattern was fools gold…. I learned one thing last year. EURO is king still and also, My life was much more pleasant when I didn’t know how to read models on an amateur level. Bc then I just followed Mets on Twitter and there’s been no hype by any of them so I would’ve never known what our pattern was showing anyway to be excited

Well if the GFS is correct (I know that’s a long shot statement) we might have a subtropical storm in the Atlantic at the end of the month

Had a low of 8 degrees last night, high of about 33 today, winds gusting to 40! It’s useless waste of cold!
It peaked briefly at 41 here. I’ve been out pruning all day and it felt good. I was surprised when I checked the temp.

But not to worry Wednesday appears to be the warmest day of the month
I agree it's pretty useless without snow
That npac ridge is legit though I've been trying to figure it out too. I think it may be related to the mjo but man you can't find a much worse thing for the eastern US to have a mean base state
