CAD just isn't a really good setup for snow in the Southeast. It can set the tone for ground temps, but getting those 850/925 temps where they need to be with solely CAD influence is a pretty hard thing to do. You need cold air funneling in from the NW and sliding east.

I dont know why, but I'm not feeling great about our chances through to when l I leave for vacation February 25th. EPS continues to show very little snowy outcomes through the end of its runs, and it seems like there will at least be a relaxation of the west coast ridging after that, (or worse).

GEFS snow mean/hits look great, but they are sprinkled over 3 different "event possibilities". So i don't feel good about three separate lottery ticket type chances. I'd rather have a 2 inch mean all showing up around one event.

End of rant.

Caveat being storm threats never really look "great" until we get inside of day 10(if that)... maybe i'm putting too much pressure on the pattern shaping up at the moment.

Don't get me wrong I'm still on board solidly but do we have an ops storm to track inside Day-10 yet for either of our metro areas?

Good.

When has tracking an individual threat worked out for most 8+ days out?

We'll see multiple waves. Some zingers. Some zangers. And an actual banger.

Dude, your posts are getting tiresome whether this is the banter thread or not. Stop trolling or trying to be funny??? The shtick is getting old.
I’m not trolling or trying to be funny. Just saying what many others are saying. That’s all I see right now is rainstorms. If your gonna get your undies in a wad do it at someone else.

I thought we were supposed to start seeing some real nice fantasy winter storms show on the models now. Not rainstorms.
Dude it’s February. Way too early to see fantasy snowstorms in December and January.

Wait til late November and early December.

There's been plenty of winter storms on the models the past 3 days. This is where it seems like you are trolling or not looking at the models or discussion. Who else has been saying there's nothing but rainstorms?

This is the 3rd time in 3 weeks I’ve seen a Subaru WRX parked on the side of the highway smoking from the engine bay. Wild. Gotta be very careful with the boxer motors and how you launch them
Wait til y’all get 6” of snow in a couple of weeks. They’ll all be smoking

im glad i outgrew the sporty car fad.

its all about the mini van for me now. i can carry tears of winters past around with me everywhere i go with all that space

If we do get something to track, I'll be looking at the time of day too.

In 2009, with insane rates right under the deform band pivot, it was painful watching what would have been a foot or more of snow become six inches as the snow struggled to accumulate with the sun up. Even then, only when late afternoon came did the real accumulations begin even though I was still at 33-34 degrees.

If you ever change your mind the head guy of ford said he’s not gonna get rid of the mustang and it’s 5 litre V8 motor anytime soon in the future

Drivers who have driven the Wrx, Civic Type R, and the Hyundai Veloster say the Veloster is the most fun to drive, even if the numbers don’t reflect it.

I would take the Veloster myself. I want to see a Corolla GR someday
I tried a GR Corolla a while ago, it was a good race, they have tons of bottom end torque, he got me by near a car length initially in the beginning then at the end I was barely behind (under half a car length) incredible how much power that 3 cyl turbo makes

It is!! I’m still scared to buy a new 3 cylinder. I chickened out on the 3 cylinder Fiesta and went with a 4 cylinder Fiesta with a hybrid turbo.

Narrow race but your price point is a lot better and all you have to sacrifice is a half car length in a race. You did good!!!
