Of course the HRRR just a few hours ago was showing snow in RDU at 8:00 am tomorrow and now the closest snow it's showing is in the mountains..... geez

Been raining hard here in pensacola this past hour, local met said lightning strikes out in the gulf all headed north and east. Plenty of moisture headed yalls way up north.

I warmed up the dual sport today and got my wet/cold weather riding gear out. I hope I did not jinx where that warm nose ends up! If it happens I am out to my local riding trails for a little fun!

As of 03z, the arctic frontal boundary is just south of Atlanta. Interesting that there's a small warm front pushing NW in SC against the arctic front(that is what the models are seeing). You can also see a meso low in NE GA.

Have hope, we're right on the border (I'm up near Decatur). I hope it shifts down 50 miles so more in a densely populated area get to enjoy this rare event.

There's several snow / rain-snow reports out of NE Louisiana and extreme SW Mississippi on mPing so some if it is probably reaching the ground
