Nothing trumps ground temps.I cant freaking wait to argue about rates overcoming sun angle.
amazing how 2022 was a great winter, top 3 winter for me. 3 weekend accumulating snows in a row then This winter can’t even get a decent snow shower
Sure, why not? Already 65 degrees here today. Balmy.People are already canceling next winter ???
I’m good with all winter weather as long as the power stays on. The rolling blackouts around Christmas when it was 8 degrees outside at noon was a very unsettling feeling. Luckily it never stayed off for more then 30 minutes.I mean i'm ok with a little freezing rain, but i dont want a crippling ice storm. I do however, always wish for a crippling snow storm ?
And yet people want that kind of cold back. Duke Energy almost lost their entire system that Saturday. Many had their power off for 12 hours or more. We are on one of the smaller companies and did not have the rolling blackouts, but it may be different the next time.I’m good with all winter weather as long as the power stays on. We need a neutral ENSO state for December 2023 and January 2024. That would be our best bet, I think. This year has just been a huge dud. Not really exceptionally warm, just very boring, no real threats.
I am hopeful Nino next year at least improves Eastern cold. But I know it's not going to be great.
But y’all get severe weather tho. Spring looks active for you guys.I have not received more than a heavy dusting since 12/8/17, that is quiet a drought for Birmingham.

You are welcomed to every bit of the severe weather we get. Any is too much for me.But y’all get severe weather tho. Spring looks active for you guys.
I am so tired of all the rain. If it isn't going to snow it could at least be dry. And it doesn't look like it's going to snow at all this winter. Don't tell me we have until March because I don't remember the last time my area had a good snowstorm in March.
March 2, 2009 for Raleigh proper, I think.I am so tired of all the rain. If it isn't going to snow it could at least be dry. And it doesn't look like it's going to snow at all this winter. But March doesn't have snow
This one sucks thought I was walking out with a half foot plus got a dusting

One inch 13 years ago. Wow, March is epic for snow here.
Maybe you should move there since you mention it so much. Most of their storms are smallish icing events like this. Their cold can be more extreme but it can also get a lot warmer in winter. Give me the southeast any day.Dallas just has more interesting weather than Atlanta. It gets hotter in Dallas, colder in Dallas, more snow and ice in Dallas, more severe weather in Dallas, etc.
I didnt realize smallish icing events were worthy of being under a Winter Storm Warning.Maybe you should move there since you mention it so much. I can confirm that is a big fat NO. Lol it snowed for 2 days, temps in teens and low 20s. It's my Carolina crusher, we had drifts 3 feet deep, it was amazing!!I wonder if this melted by noon the next day?View attachment 131936
