Misc Winter 22-23 Whamby and Banter Thread Part 2

I’m sorry but you are the one giving us hell alongside every other duke fan! We are nothing but courteous… also nance and love suck . Nance can take his Lemon Oreo cookies and shove em. We will do better without them. Good job duke… tho where was yesterdays explosiveness the 2 times y’all beat us. Also you know I am a state student so my first loyalties lie there because j an obligated to root for em… I did grow up a Carolina fan tho
Lick I sat beside several NC State students probably some of the same ones you go to class with and they were very nice and we got along well at the game together.

That's a revision though, he said revise not reverse....
Fair point, I’m not hopeful I’ll even get a dusting, though, so I’m not sure I‘ll have to revise it at all. If tomorrow completely fails and I see zero flakes, it might even make me more bitter about this winter. ?

Agreed. I'm really gonna be salty if it fails to make any eastward progress like 99% of models are showing ?‍♂️

If they're gonna do that, I vote standard, 4:50 am sunrises in June are cool

I mean I don't really care one way or the other but it's either that or the sun comes up at 9am in the winter which has been tried and failed before in the 70s

Plus well standard time is the actual time... DST was invented later ?

Agreed, I much rather have the early sunrise then the 8:30 am sunrise that's for sure. Like you said some locations close to 9 am, which is nuts

I hate super late sunsets . Tho I hate the super early ones in winter. Maybe we go on dst during winter and standard during summer

I don’t even know if this winter was a shutout now. By other posters’ OBS, I’m assuming I got some flakes this morning, but I slept too late (damn DST!!). Did RDU actually report any snow? The hourly OBS doesn’t have it.

I too slept in. lol. I can only look at this link from KINT and see light snow was reported for about an hour. Maybe you can figure out how to select RDU? Not sure what counts as a shutout.?..

Open link below....

It hasn’t been a shutout at RDU since December as I recall

I love the time change, personally. I wish they'd just leave it alone.
I used to feel this way but thinking about it, I'm an early riser and next year I'm retiring, so I'd love to have earlier sunrises tbh. I'll have all day to do what I need to get done outside and not going to bed with light still outside lol

Ha you do have a point there. It's light past 9pm here in July. A bit much imo

I think you confuse tracking threats to be the same as expecting them to come to fruition and getting let down if/when they don't... maybe that's a problem you have, but not me.

But the problem is there is no threat. 10+ days out is never a threat even in Jan. No model is accurate that far out. At best you can say the pattern may be favorable. But in late March? Even a perfect pattern would likely not produce now. And yet you share double digit snowfall maps 258 hrs out in the main thread. And talk about 4 out of 20 ensembles having something. Well that's 80% that don't. You clearly have decent weather knowledge but this stuff makes you look like the biggest weenie on this board
