The EURO is almost always a few degrees too warm this time of year, However it could be on to something this Saturday. Low dewpoints to start the day and sinking air on the edge of the circulation of the tropical system is a setup that could allow temps to soar east of the mountains. The CLT area is due for a triple digit reading… the last time the airport reached 100 was 6 years ago today.
@Webberweather53 what was the site where you could pull old soundings that you posted
Today's high at DFW was 98*F. Yesterday's high was 97*F.

I wonder if we can sharpen up the piedmont trough enough Saturday so that we can flip winds more S in the coastal plain and Eastern piedmont enough so that places like CLT and GSO are hotter than the normal heat belt from FAY to GSB

Ha at one point I thought so but this eastern trough western ridge pattern looks pretty stubborn. Not sure if it's some feedback from the drought out west but the overnight models didn't show much heat for the next 2 weeks

I love how Tennessee is left out of the Southeast map. I guess TN is no longer in the southeast?
