If you lower your expectations to western troughs then the pacific looks normal.
Maybe some cad around hour 300 lol, pacific is actually now looking better due to that Aleutian low

Ridge by next run 
I’m noticing models are switching to ridging as we get closer and crapping the pacific as it gets closer, this just proves how effective and how average/slightly below Atlantic blocking kept us, replying on the pacific is not gonna work most of the time, Atlantic blocking works way more, but it’s not a effective source for deep arctic cold air, unless you have a nice -AO

Also best part about New Mexico is the hottest part of the summer is in June ?. All downhill after that

Everyone’s talking about a hot September but no one has mentioned it’s running 1.1 degrees below average , primarily because of lows . Geez , y’all would die if it was an average September !

Honestly what we’ve seen so far and what’s showing for the next week to 10 days isn’t anything unusual for September around here. Yeah we saw some highs around 90 earlier this week, but that’s absolutely to be expected in the first half of the month. Now we’re looking at a lot of mid 80s coming up which is still not unusual at all. As for lows, we’ve certainly had some nice cool mornings in the 50s mixed in with mainly some 60s…. again nothing out of the ordinary.

As I predicted back in late August, Greensboro had seen its last 90 degree day. Window is closed now. 87 was best run the ole heat could make.

In all seriousness though there is a lot of volatility post day 5 right now. I wouldn't be surprised to see massive ridges/troughs alternating on runs the next couple of days until things sort out

Same here, while I guarantee we will tap 80 or 82 there's no sign of heat in the entire duration but I'm not complaining since I work out I'm it a few times a week

There isn't much on the horizon either that gives much optimism for anything more widespread than .25-.33 type totals
