I just hope it doesn't die off into some residual drizzle or mid-level clouds and move over us today. This could leave a nice differential heating/outflow boundary for later today
That lightning is relentless. Like a strobe light. Thunder and lightning easily lasted over an hour here this morning.
No shots of it since I don’t have my camera on me but satisfied with over a inch of rain, tons of lightning and now anvil crawlers

Congrats to @metwannabe later this afternoon with this feature. Looks like the new HRRR craps convection here as the debris from this moves over during peak heating

You are correct. I said last week GSO wouldnt hit 90 again. Now it has hit 90 post 9/15. But you can count on one hand with fingers left over , if it does punch 90.
Hrrr is interesting overnight into tomorrow morning with the slow moving prefrontal trough and the jet nosing in to the west and a divergent flow aloft
Update, that was quick 
I don’t think we miss out today even with early convection.. clouds should get outta here around 12 and HRRR and NAM still fire a healthy amount of storm and I’m sure some storm coverage it’s not seeing as it usually is too hampered with things … plus it even pulses some overnight storms for Raleigh and to SE later tonight and early tomorrow morning .. should be fun regardless
