Misc Sports Thread

I’ve had a lot of fun watching the Canes this year. Lot of respect for how the team handled adversity and the coach. This area is heavily college sports focused with divided rivalries, but only having one major pro team in Raleigh allowed us UNC/State/Duke fans to pull for one team. I know that sounds corny, but I don’t care. Lol

I’m a day 1 fan of the Hornets and Panthers. Hoping those franchises can someday replicate the success of the Canes. Who’d have thought the hockey team would turn out to be the most successful so far when they moved here in the 90's?
 
Still can't believe the Canes actually won the Cup. It's been a lot of heartbreak for Canes fans, from a decade-long playoff drought to 7 straight years of playoff exits. This team showed unbelievable fight and resilience, such as coming down 4-0 to tie the game in game 3 even though they lost. Truly a well-deserved championship, and the Canes did it without any big-name superstars while being well under the salary cap.
