Are there any other wrestling fans here? I stopped watching WWE months ago and have been watching AEW since they started. Really enjoy their product. Thought tonight's episode was solid. Enjoyed the contract signing with MJF and Moxley. MJF is awesome on the mic. Could we get a Horsemen stable with Page, FTR, and Spears? The tables match with Hardy and Guevero was brutal, and loved the ending with Orange attacking Jericho. Also like how they are doing the Dark Order now with Brodie Lee.

Well I’m pretty unpopular wrestling fan. I watch when Goldberg shows up unfortunately he’s not quite what he used to be but he was my favorite growing up so I do still watch when he shows up

Pro wrestling will never ever come close to the Monday Night Raw / Monday Nitro days. It was the pinnacle of sports entertainment. Even as good as AEW is, compared to the WWE, it is just a shadow of the former greatness of that sport. It was a once in a lifetime era.

I forgot about this thread. I haven't watched a whole episode of Raw and Smackdown in over a year. The heel turn for Roman Reigns and The Fiend character is the only thing in WWE that interests me now. I am still enjoying AEW every week, and looking forward to the Moxley and Omega title match. The segment they had last week with Cody Rhodes and Taz was great.

Did you see that segment? Taz is always great on the mic, and they are doing a storyline with Cody Rhodes training Taz's son.
I haven't watched last week's dynamite but Ill probably watch this week. They do a decent job at keeping you up to speed

I watched an ungodly amount of football and basketball over the last few days. It might be a good idea to take a break
Nothing wrong with that, either. I am so glad to have college basketball back. I can't play, my kids can't play, and I can't coach. At least there is some to watch now instead of playing NBA2K.

Wow, did not expect to see Sting on AEW tonight. That was a total shock. I know he is past his prime, but it still gave me chills.

Omega wins the belt, turns full heel, and is going to show up on Impact wrestling next week! Guess they are going to do some kind of cross promotion together. I haven't watched Impact in years, but I am really interested in seeing where this goes. That was a great ending last night.

You guys know that ish is fake, right? With the exception of Brock Lester and a select few others, as a BJJ Brown Belt and former LHW belt holder for AFLMMA, I could probably beat most of these guys in a real MMA match. That includes that dude with the Pepsi tattoo who’s body of work in MMA is less than stellar.

I now only watch AEW regularly and have stopped watching WWE and ROH. I enjoy watching Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, on the mic (her actual wrestling is only so-so though her finishing “lockjaw” is hilarious). Once she made her heel turn on AEW a while back, she really began to shine. A dentist is a natural heel as Lawrence Olivier’s character (“Is it safe?”) in the movie Marathon Man demonstrated real well. It is a trip to watch a real doctor as a pro wrestler. I had seen her do a few matches on ROH prior to this, but she wasn’t that big a deal then.

Regarding those who join JR, Tony, and Excalibur on the mic at the table, great ones are obviously Jericho and Tazz in very different ways. But there’s also one other I haven’t yet seen mentioned here who has rapidly become quite enjoyable: Eddie Kingston!

Call me old school but I only watch WWE when Goldberg shows up. I know he’s not all that great anymore but I like him. Reminds me of my childhood same with Sting!

Goldberg and Sting were prime in their prime for sure! I have yet to see the latest AEW (with Sting’s debut), but I recorded it and will check it out when I have time.

If you like old school, you should check out AEW more regularly. In addition to Jericho and Dustin Rhodes still wrestling regularly, they have done well by using several as managers like Jake the Snake, Arn Anderson, and Tully Blanchard. Also, the Rock and Roll Express have been on a couple of times. Diamond Dallas Page, who’s still in great shape for his age, actually wrestled at age 64!

And you can’t get more old school than having JR and Tony on the mic!

Is Tony Schiavone still around? I remember him from the old Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling programs back in the day.

Indeed, he is and he sits next to JR! He also does a lot of interviews as well as things like in ring contract signings. They often utilize him as a “put upon” comic foil, interestingly enough.

Did you know he worked as a barista at Starbucks for a time?

It is hilarious to hear Jericho intentionally mispronounce his name as Skee-a-vone!

I wonder though when it comes to sting how many Bumps he will take. His injury back in 2015 I think it was against Seth Rollins was a pretty serious injury.

AEW has been awesome lately. Really enjoying the storyline with Omega and Callis, Sting coming back, and MJF in the Inner Circle. Very curious to see where it all goes. Plus the actual matches have been great, too.
