Severe Possible severe weather February 4th-7th

Waiting for the watch to come out further east in NC. You would think it is just a matter of time.

That junk rain is about to finally clear the area, with higher DP's surging in and possibility of clouds thinning, not only increasing the risk for those severe storms later but may get some mixing to allow some of those higher wind gust to start to show up. Winds are racing a couple thous feet up

Damage reports coming in all over Spartanburg, westgate mall area hit the hardest it would appear. My neighborhood reporting damage

44 freaking degrees here too! I suppose we could be in for more tornadic storms if/when we get on the other side of that wedge/backdoor front? over 2" of rain in the gauge so far today.

Take the wind damage threat serious, please.day1probotlk_1630_wind.gif

Yeah, places already hit with tornadoes before even getting the max heating period of the day. I don't see things settling down farther east, unfortunately.

Most schools in the Midlands of South Carolina are dismissing early and have no evening activities. I hope my brothers and sisters upstate are all ok.

Tornado Warning or Alamance, Guildford, Randolph, and Chatham Counties

Tornado warning for Forsyth county has expired as of 11:45. We had one report of a touch down in western suburbs of W-S and into N Davidson county. Waiting for some confirmation. I was in the Doctors office and at 11:30 they moved everyone into the interior walls but nothing hit us

Incredible training right down I85 into the upstate with this storm. This is the type of thing you usually see in Macon, Cherokee and Clay counties. Precip was coming in at a perfect SW to NE trajectory

Are we to expect more severe in North East GA? We are living in our rental trailer while building our house. I almost let people talk me out of building a basement. No way, I'm getting a basement! My driveway washed completely out and we were stranded a few weeks ago (first time I had ever experienced for real flash flooding. It was wild and **NO JOKE.) On the verge of doing it again. Pics of Spartanburg are horrible. Everybody stay safe. Not such a great day. Nerves are shot. Yikes.

Wind energy in Summerville SC is thru the roof. 46mph wind at the Charleston airport and sustained 33mph. Can confirm 50mph winds gusts. Breaks in the clouds and the sky looks like what you would see preceding a major severe weather episode. Very fast and rotating clouds in the area. Going to be a long day even in the normally sheltered coastal plain of SC
