Why not just have no election because of COVID and let trump stay in? Then smaller things like state gov can still hold vote. ty

Thing about this poll is Trump has like a 39% approval rating which is still higher than Hillary lololololol. That’s also why Trump is somewhat screwed because Biden is not hated nearly as much. Biden has 47% approval rating. It isn’t great but it also isn’t Hillary Clinton at 37%.

I'm still mad at her for running in 2016. ?

I mean, Joe Biden chose not to run in 2016 and is only running this time off name recognition and bc he was begged into it. I doubt he even really has his heart in it.
It is interesting he didn't run in 2016. I admit I never thought about why, and may look into it further.

That said---I disagree that his heart isn't into it, but I don't know how any one of us could prove that either way. (although I'm sure some would try...)

Try not to put too much stock into the 'dementia' thing. That's just the flavor of the month. (or in this case....today) ?

I personally hope his health is indeed fine if he becomes President. Joe Biden is a lot more tolerable than just about anybody on the left now a days all things considered. I just believe he is walking puppet at this point, and won't really have a say in much of anything. He's just the voice now for the radical left. If he becomes President I hope he sticks to his core values instead of what all the people around him will try to make him do. He's already way more left than he use to be, so I dont have much hope.

Ah, here's what Wikipedia has about 2016.

As of September 11, 2015, Biden was still uncertain whether to run. He cited his son's recent death as a large drain on his emotional energy, and said, "nobody has a right ... to seek that office unless they're willing to give it 110% of who they are."[337]

On October 21, speaking from a podium in the Rose Garden with his wife and Obama by his side, Biden announced his decision not to run for president in 2016.[338][339][340] In January 2016, Biden affirmed that it was the right decision, but admitted to regretting not running for president "every day".
[341]

Now it's coming back to me. Everyone pretty much assumed he would run, and it was semi-big news when he backed out.

As for him being a puppet of the radical left...I just don't think that's likely coming from someone who was VP for 8 years and in the Senate before that for I don't recall how many years. I personally think the best argument of him going too far left would be fear of losing jaded Bernie supporters like Hillary did in 2016 to Jill Stein. Granted, I don't think that will happen because I think those dumb ideological liberals may have learned their lesson and will vote for Biden anyway, but I can at least see that argument as more of a possibility.

Almost all candidates--Republican or Democrat--tend to drift more towards the middle after securing the nomination. The vast majority of those that don't tend to lose in landslides. Trump is the lone exception that I can think of, FWIW.

this is what still gives me hope for November. The economy always ends up being the top priority come election. People might not like Trump as a person or he hurt their soft feelings, but they ultimately want the economy to stay strong.

. LMAO at the Law and Order poll. Are people not looking at how these Democratic cities are being ran across the country right now? There will be NO law and order. The whole bringing the country together though makes perfect sense, Trump flopped hard there over the past month/

Surpised Trump is doing so well with COVID19. Seems like his biggest issues right now is the turmoil going on around the country with police and race. By November that (probably) won’t be the #1 thing on people minds.

sure, then on 1/21/21 Trumps term is up, election or not on 1/21/21. The next already elected official whose term isn’t up would take over as president .

I don't get why people actually think Trump being in a bunker is something to make fun of? Like there was fricking unrest right outside the White House, of course measures would be taken to keep the President safe.

Good info on the polls in Michigan.

It seems the swing states with Democrat Governors contain voters that are increasingly tending to agree with Trump, while states with Republican Governors seem to be trending against Trump's viewpoints. For example, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania have a lot more voters that prefer a faster reopening, while Florida and Arizona think the reopening is too quick.

There's a lot of bad internal information in these the vast majority of polls, so it's difficult to make a prediction. There are many polls that have Trump doing 33% better with non-whites in the swing states, but Biden seems to cut into his share of white voters in a variety of odd ways. Obviously, Biden is going to cut into white married male and female votes, but I refuse to believe Biden is running 5 or less points behind Trump with rural voters. The poll cited below has Trump neck-and-neck with Biden for that demographic (Slide 15 of Citation). That's just ludicrous. Also, 50% of the electorate in Florida is non-college/some college, but this poll underestimates this demographic by 20%, and I've seen a plethora of others that diminish these voters to 25% of the electorate. So even if you don't take into account that Covid-19 is likely to turn back voters in major cities, these polls are still useless.

We dont, what we make fun of is Trump's inability to just say the USSS decided according to their criteria that me entering the bunker was the right move to make....that's it thats all Trump had to say, but instead his fragile little ego wont allow him to do that so instead we get " I decided to inspect the bunker" and we all make fun of him.

Like many of you probably have, I've been to cities all over the country over the past decade and there has been a ton of revitalization going on with money and professionals moving back into the core areas. This propagated movement and de-funding the police garbage could do some real long-term damage. Atlanta's city population had dropped all the way down to 394,017 by 1990 due to white-flight, its 2019 estimation has it all the way back up to 506k. This is happening in cities all over the country, Seattle, Boston, DC, Cincinnati, etc, and I just hate to see it all go to hell.

I know this the more people attack cops. Damage and destroy monuments. The better the chance for Trump to win in November. I have to believe most Americans don’t like this nonsense

It is painfully obvious Trump is going to keep sticking his foot in his mouth but equally obvious that the Dems do NOT want Biden having rallies and certainly no debates because of his general ineptness. They will find every excuse they to keep him out of the limelight as it gives them the best chance to beat Trump.

Trumps team is trying to have an earlier debate with all the anticipated early mail in ballots for November as some could be marked prior to the first debate. If Biden was as competent and a better debater than Trump as some here thinks, he should want a 4th debate with Trump. The Biden camp shot that down in about 2.5 seconds.

Biden will piss his pants when he debates Trump. He’s scared of Trump of course it was turned down.
