This reminds me of the movie "Crash" from ~2004. Have you seen it? It is fantastic (imo) and look at folks accusing others of being bigoted but with them not realizing they're being bigoted, themselves, in a different way. Unfortunately, this is so human nature that we all have to battle or else risk doing the same thing.

The media and some on here freaked out when some white guys with guns marched in Michigan against the lockdowns. Yet when antifa types and "peaceful protesters" take over part of downtown Seattle with guns it's crickets from the media. Also they put up a wall around their borders. How Trumpian of them. They are also extorting local businesses but hey they are a developing country.

Posting this is just a notch below what some of his posts are. However this alone is not the sole reason why I would think we all need a break. There are more reasons than just Webb. I will say this. @Webberweather53 Try to keep this civil. If you can't debate properly without resorting to name calling you are no better than what you are saying. If you can't do this, you will be banned from the thread. As for @Jessy89, please realize what you are actually saying about the racial angles. I'm not completely aware of what makes you believe what you believe, but just realize that not everyone's world is the exact same as yours. One thing may mean something else to another person and it may be taken wrongly. On this forum, some of your posts have appeared to come off as broderline if not completely racist. Continuing to post along these lines will result in you being removed from the thread.

TLDR, consider what you're posting or you will not be allowed here. This goes for every post beyond this one.
 
Just so y’all know I come in good faith. To discuss these very decisive issues. Anytime there’s a thread on politics you can expect disagreements. But I believe we at least try to discuss disagreements in a somewhat respectful fashion.

Racism and ageism are two completely different things with vastly different ramifications and levels of seriousness. Trying to lump me together with someone who’s racist is pretty short sighted.

Go find where I’ve ever defended my beloved President Trump. I’m serious!

My suggestion would be you find a local community college and take a “How to deal with people” course. Probably free. You’re social awkwardness is glaring.

One (racism) is actually something people are rioting over and have suffered thru for several centuries, the other is a millennial fad. Not even in the same galaxy even if they are bigotry, they aren’t to be lumped together.

Its a conscious effort to visit this thread and people know how to block it from their visibility (if not ask). Thing is the conversation isn't going to change over the next few months so locking probably doesn't change anything. Could a little more civility be used at times? Sure. Are these conversations that some folks need to be exposed to? Absolutely. If it gets into a poop throwing contest then yeah it'll come to a quick end.

Uhhh yeah it’s not even close bud. Bigots like triggered magas getting pissed off anytime anyone questions Trump are intolerant of other opinions, a racist is intolerant based on skin color. They can be related but they’re two very different things

Congrats, you’re “judging” someone based on some interaction you’ve had with them on an obscure weather forum and spinning it negatively because you disagree with them, never mind you haven’t ever, met them face to face. Tells you all you need to know about said persons communication skills!

That display was beyond pathetic. People do realize Obama actually worked in conjunction with forecasters and his name is on one of the NHC discussions? Meanwhile Trump is going full weenie hut jr and drawing his own maps in sharpie to cover his own misdoings.

All kidding aside. I watched Bono take one of the most racist bigots alive and help him figure it out before he passed. That being one Jessie Helms. It is doable but it takes patience and truthfully you have no other choice.

If it means anything I apologize to whoever I’ve offended on this thread. That wasn’t my intentions at all. Yes I believe things people will disagree with. But my intentions was never to anger people. So if I’ve done that I’m sorry. I’ll try to watch my wording of things in the future. But I do think it’s healthy to discuss somethings that divide us. But maybe sometimes my wording is to strong for some. And I should watch what I say more closely. But I think we can all agree we need to flip the page on 2020 and hope for a peaceful 2021. Hoping for a year in which everyone can get along regardless of who’s in the White House we can disagree but hopefully the future is bright down the road. White black latino etc all walks of life just need to get along and not Judge because of the president they support or because someone wears and likes the rebel flag. Instead before labeling them raciest talk to them you may be surprised. I guarantee y’all if I could sit down with y’all most of y’all I could probably get along with very well. Excuse my rattling but I just wanted to apologize for offending the majority of this board. Hopefully my apology can be excepted.

Theres not enough hypocrisy pie to serve up the 2 biggest events for hypocrisy this year. The sexual misconduct against the trump/biden and now these protests......those for the protests against lockdowns are now suddenly outraged at protests and vice versa.
