Now I know why I don’t get in politics... ???
Lots of bombs in the air...
But seriously, I give Trump credit for taking the gloves off after the attack on our embassy. But as I said earlier, the problem with this approach is it’s impossible how to know when it will end. Iran will inevitably respond, which will put the ball back in our court.
Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail before it’s too late.

TBH I doubt Iran does more than saber rattle on the big stage. They will probably cause a small scale terrorist attack behind the scene and pitch a fit when they are accused, but they aren't stupid. They know they cannot fight a war against the US and also know that SA and UAE would love to jump in and secure their share of the oil market.
Let's all take a step back in time to when the Iranians took over the US embassy in the late 1970's. We remember what happened next..... hostages were held for over a year before we got them back home. We learned a lesson from that!Lots of bombs in the air...

They won’t awaken a sleeping giant. Japan learned that lesson. My concern is there cyberspace capabilities. Dept of defense, electrical grid. etc... Like you said, they cannot match our military by a country mile.
IF... we really HAD to hurt Iran we’d simply surgically strike the three or so oil refineries they utilize. Thus, Bring the economy to a screeching halt.
I don’t want it to come to that because it would hurt the Iranian people. Most don’t necessarily support the mullah’s in charge.
The previous poster referenced compared our military goals to that of the terrorist we killed yesterday. That is a spit in my face and to anybody that fought or is currently fighting over there.

There is nothing anyone can do for you if you're not open to hearing why other people across the globe question our foreign policy and intentions. It's clear that you take every point of dissent as a personal attack. Given your occupation, it is understandable. However, there are many who share similar skepticism. Proof below with link to reddit post and article. By all means please don't respond to this post if it upsets you - as I stated before I seriously have no ill will towards you. I'm just posting for others here to see our recklessness is not being unnoticed.
Well this is certainly big news...

Bolton, who left the White House in September, said that he has weighed the issues of executive privilege and that after “careful consideration and study” decided that he would comply with a Senate subpoena.
“I have concluded that, if the Senate issues a subpoena for my testimony, I am prepared to testify," he said in a statement
Exactly what I was thinking. That tells me one of two things:
1: He has been assured by senate GOP they won’t call him to testify.
or
2: The Democrats had better stay far away from asking him to testify.

I dunno Bolton did not inform Trump he was releasing this statement, the thing is this, IF these guys were going to be able to go on the stand and exonerate Trump then it would have already happened....McConnell would subpoena them himself if that was what they knew would happen.....the fact they don't do that tells you all you need to know about what they would say and how bad it would be for Trump.
It’s not about Trump, but likely brokering a deal with fellow republicans. If he wanted to really take down Trump he would have did so in congress when Democrats could have asked him anything. McConnell knows he doesn’t have to exonerate Trump, just win public opinion. I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t just trying to lure Nancy to send the articles. Nancy wants people to testify and the GOP could be really about to set her up.
I suppose it is possible this is all some grand play to set up the Dems, but I think that gives the current admin wayyyyyy to much credit. Nancy is not going to send the articles until she has in writing that they can call witnesses....if McConnell really thought he could pass a rule preventing witnesses he would have introduced it already he has 52 GOP members and needs 51 of them to vote his way and right now he does not have them, at least 3-4 GOP senators will probably vote against that, maybe more in light of the fact Bolton is willing to not fight a subpoena....
There is no reason to rush Nancy. Trump isn't impeached until she releases it to the Senate. I know the strategy for the Dems is to stretch it out as long as possible. The Senate majority leader has as much to say about process as the speaker of the House. He never has to cave to Nancy. He may do the same thing that the house did. He may only allow the witnesses he wants to testify just as Schiff and Nadler did in the House. Both insuring the results they want....all this has just been politics, there has never been ANY threat of Trump being removed from office.

This is incorrect Trump is and always shall be impeached....Senate cant do anything without a vote and McConnell needs 51 to pass anything....this is why he has not done anything yet, he does not have the votes....those 3-4 GOP senators in the middle are controlling the process right now. I agree Trump probably wont get removed, the chances he does however goes up if they get someone like Bolton to say Trump is guilty of everything he is accused of and public opinion sways 60% for impeach.
30,000 homeless veterans in this great economy is hard to grasp. I know it's Obama's fault but how do we fix it?
lol! you're not serious? I wasn't that far from being homeless myself under obama's destructive socialist agenda. I know homelessness is at a much lower rate now than it was at any time under obama, when we had the lowest employment rate since the 1970's, ( at which time, most moms didn't work, because you could survive with 1 income.) Many of the homeless Vets are homeless , not because of the economy, but because of mental conditions they developed fighting for our freedom and safety!

Noah Feldman, a key Democrat witness and a Harvard law school professor, wrote an opinion piece about why Trump is technically not impeached. Here’s an excerpt below.
“If the House does not communicate its impeachment to the Senate, it hasn’t actually impeached the president. If the articles are not transmitted, Trump could legitimately say that he wasn’t truly impeached at all.
That’s because “impeachment” under the Constitution means the House sending its approved articles of to the Senate, with House managers standing up in the Senate and saying the president is impeached.
As for the headlines we saw after the House vote saying, “TRUMP IMPEACHED,” those are a media shorthand, not a technically correct legal statement. So far, the House has voted to impeach (future tense) Trump. He isn’t impeached (past tense) until the articles go to the Senate and the House members deliver the message.
If the House votes to “impeach” but doesn’t send the articles to the Senate or send impeachment managers there to carry its message, it hasn’t directly violated the text of the Constitution. But the House would be acting against the implicit logic of the Constitution’s description of impeachment. A president who has been genuinely impeached must constitutionally have the opportunity to defend himself before the Senate.

Bush sent them to war and ruined the economy, not Obama. Trump is in charge now so if he doesn't help them it's on him.I want to apologize.I thought you were being facetious. I should be slower to speak and quicker to read!

Over 30,000 anomalies? They deserve betterWe volunteered to protect the country from foreign threats and the large majority of us had zero problems with why we were there. Trump is indeed in charge now and veterans are doing great as a whole. Anybody that tells you different is an anomaly

I feed the homeless all the time and I do more than the billionaire draft dodging president to honor vets. His answer is to make more veterans to turn our back on.YOU WERE BEING FACETIOUS
I take back my apology! It's not the president or any branch of the government that can make the most difference, it's you and I . If you see the need, get to work with your own hands and ask God to give you the means to make a change. I can do more to help my fellow man than I am , how about you?
Over 30,000 anomalies? They deserve better
It pisses me off that a majority of our homeless are veterans or mentally ill. I don't care what Trump does in the never ending war on terror. This war was always a fraud and always will be.We always deserve better so Im not exactly sure what your point is. Bush sent us to war. We were fine with that. Obama kept us over there. We were fine with that (sans some really stupid changes), Trump has done an excellent job managing the war on terror. Im sure it pisses you off to hear that but that's just the way it is........
Perception is key, and well the House voted on and passed articles of impeachment, they have sole power over that part of the process and they impeached Trump....I guess we can argue about this but at the end of the day Trump is and forever shall be one of 3 US presidents that had articles of impeachment passed against them and nothing will change that. The House will send the articles over eventually probably by the end of this month.

Snow lover that was awesome!I’m just pointing out that from a technical and legal standpoint Trump isn’t actually considered impeached until Nancy gives it to the Senate. It doesn’t really matter either way but it’s interesting to note from a constitutional standpoint.
If you want a good laugh the 13 min audio clip in this article is awesome. Some Russian guys that run a YouTube channel prank called Maxine Waters, pretending to be Greta Thunberg and her father. They made up a fake island and conference and pretended to have dirt on Donald Trump. It’s hilarious and worth the listen.
