No sign of antifa in my hood last night--but the movement to a place such as North Hills and Triangle Town Center would fit their ideology--and the above tweet-- perfectly.
Mine either. But we live pretty far out from the city. Would be quite a haul to get out this far.

I'm not following your point here. Were there other lower income areas where rioting and looting and destruction were happening in Raleigh where the national guard was not deployed? They just sort of let that happen?

Edit to say that I may have missed some earlier crucial context upthread. I didn't go back and read very much because, frankly, I'm tired of all of this and it's hard to keep from getting aggravated when there is so much irrationality floating around...not just here but it seems like everywhere.

Based off what was on TV last night there were no national guard troops deployed in downtown Raleigh. Only about 20 ALE officers at the state supreme court.

As far as reports go this is the only place the NG deployed in Raleigh last night.

Downtown Raleigh is a pretty upscale area too. All along Fayetteville St. and immediately surrounding, you have lots of bars, businesses, restaurants, condos, etc., which is the area where it appeared the protesters were focusing. They were smashing windows and throwing things at cops, etc.

How do you know it was solely to protect the upper class? Could it just be a move to stop the spread of rioting and contain it to only 1 area ... downtown? Which is even more wealthy and upper class than freaking north hills! I dont think your point is valid the money is in downtown not North Hills.

Yeah I saw all that. Cops kept pushing the rioters around. Perhaps they sent the guard to north hills because they didn't want to spread their force thin.

The appearance of it may be used to show favoritism and protection of the rich.

Just because you visit other threads that are more toxic doesn’t make this one any less so. The material posted in this thread is toxic in nature, so it is toxic by default.
I'm not seeing so much toxicity in the past 48 hours or so since a lot of it was cleared out.

eh...the RPD needed the help. Not to mention, the mayor of Raleigh and our Governor are both very progressive leaning--they're not friends of the wealthy, per se.

This all can end with the us military! All it would take is the military to start shooting and these violent criminals and monsters tuck there tails between there legs and goes home!

How to destroy your government and foreign relations so you look like a barbaric government 101. Only terrible governments recognize all people in a crowd as violent criminals and enemies when the reality is it's no more than a handful per crowd of instigators. Get the instigators out and we'll be fine.

That would make things 100x worse lol

It maybe the only way to stop these violent people. It seems to be getting worse not better if this continues to escalate the us military maybe the only way to regain control. No I don’t want it to come to that but as a last resort it may have to. Especially when antifa is saying there going into white hoods to take back what’s there’s. If the military doesn’t step in Antifa may kill a bunch of innocent people.

I doubt a few neck bearded white guys and purple haired gender non binary fatties will get that far relax.

That tweet from antifa yesterday is what is scary.

Antifa is too unorganized and low in numbers to ever pose a serious threat to the suburbs. Realistically best they could do would require them all to focus their 20 obese neck bearded erectile dysfunction having fatties on one suburb otherwise they are spread too thin.

THIS is also scary. I mean, we have got to find a better middle ground than this.

That’s what gave them cause to position the national guard where they did. If they, indeed, did. Downtown areas were already ransacked. Why would you want to position the national guard around an already damaged area? You wouldn’t. Preserve what is preservable. I think the Antifa threat was enough to justify guarding the suburbs.

Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Fayetteville, Atlanta, New York, Nashville, Seattle, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago, Milwaukee, Salt Lake, Washington DC, Detroit, Indianapolis, San Francisco, Kansas City, Houston, Charlotte, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, Tampa, Baltimore, Oakland, Louisville…

What do all those American cities have in common?

They’re all run by Democrats, many for generations.
They’ve all been looted and burned by left-wing Antifa terrorists and other anarchist groups over the past few nights.
That’s no coincidence.

Raleigh is about to join that list, its went from a right leaning town and county last 12 years to a bit left leaning, super left leaning in the usual suspected downtown denser parts. Im buying me some land one day out in Halifax county near where metwannabe lives far away from this crap.

Saw that in Pittsburgh some rioters who attacked media filming them burning police cars were apprehended. Guess what? Almost all of them were from the super liberal, super sheltered, super white, super wealthy Lawrenceville neighborhood. I knew it man, these rioters are your 25 year old reddit loving “ urban professionals” .
