Yeah, I suppose all those stay at home mandates and shut down of entire local economies minus a few select essential businesses basically equates to no social distancing?

I'm not a "fan" of Trump. He's just likely the best option at this time, going forward. If another candidate that is closer to my ideology were to challenge him, I'd be very happy to support that candidate (if he's affiliated with one of the two main parties).

Sweden also is the size of NC, population-wise. Also, they have a pretty low population density. Not to mention that the gov't does cover insurance costs. People aren't scared of going bankrupt because of an illness. Just saying...

Everyone goes to the grocery store and mingles almost everyday. Plus, this virus is already, everywhere, as the recent anti-body sampling is showing. Plus Lowe's and Home Depot are booming as this is a great time to get projects done!

Jessy some will not be happy till America becomes a socialist nation. I guess they want to see the economy totally collapse to get what they want. They are blinded not realizing that the economy is not invincible and there is a point of no return. They believe no social unrest can happen. They believe other countries collapsing won’t affect us. They believe that if the world economies collapse it has no way to cause a world war. They would rather see people suffer from hunger and poverty than to open back up. They believe there will be endless money and no higher taxes and hyperinflation.

All of the measures being taken greatly reduce the rate of spread, that’s irrefutable at this rate & idk why you’re trying to argue it’s meaningless because the curve has flattened in much of the US

Yes, there are many people in the U.S. that are scared of going bankrupt because of this illness, and they are not even sick!!! And the fact is, it is completely unnecessary for them to be facing this financial distress. It is almost solely due to the shut-downs and the power-plays by elected officials.

You believe that? You don't even know where we are on the "curve" or where we started. This virus has been making the rounds long before we were testing for it.

Shutdowns in a pandemic is not a new concept. See 1918-9, when early shutdowns/distancing made a big difference in SL vs Philadelphia and other big cities that weren’t as strict.
