Our privilege and responsibility as citizens is to vote; we all own our choices and I don't let a single issue or hatred of an individual's style sway my decision.

Come on Shaggy..... are you going to keep blaming Trump for everything associated with this virus. If so, are you going to give him all the credit when we come through this with less deaths than every model had predicted? It works both ways man.

I appreciate that. Thank you for not calling me an idiot or insulting me like others. I try really hard to be civil, mods have done a great job thus far, but there is way too much name-calling going on for my liking. I'd shut this thread down if it were up to me. I shouldn't need to report anyone, but I am so close.

The CDC is a govt agency and we once had a philosophy about where the buck stops.......we spent years pinning every hiccup of govt on Obama and his failed leadership and I'm not changing my tune because of who is in the WH.

why can’t we have a real scandal like tan suit gate or feet on the resolute desk gate, or soldier holding umbrella gate. Man those were some really travesties compared to Trumps.
 
Trump is doing his campaigning during this "presser" filled with his usual self-congratulating. The one good thing imo that he's done in this presser from a bipartisan viewpoint is to strongly compliment Gov Cuomo although that's because Cuomo was strongly complimenting Trump for helping his state. Trump had a morning MSNBC clip payed there displaying those Cuomo compliments toward him. Mutual congratulating?

This thread is pretty tame for a political thread tbh. You’re going to have to kill it before November if you want civility. Just wait till Corona takes a backseat to the election coverage in a month or two.

Compared to AmericanWx, this is kindergarten...maybe even preschool...which is a good thing. AmericanWx is totally batshoot out of control and has been for years.

yeah I’ve posted there for years but have decided to just stick to the Econ thread for the most part now. I’m hawksfan over there if anyone is curious. It’s a cesspool and pretty much one sided now.

No doubt the buck stops at the top; on that we agree.

If you had any idea of what was inherited and what the actual political climate is in most of these agencies you'd be aghast; supposedly civil servants but they definitely have an agenda and are in no big hurry to do anything. Loaded with bureaucracy and incompetence...

In a lot of agencies they love to see Trump be blamed for everything and would actually rather he be blamed than do what's right by the taxpayers who pay their salary.
