Brooks had already used the taser, about as effectively as you'd expect from a guy who was wasted. The officers had already searched this guy and his car, they knew he didn't have any other weapons. I understand that fighting back and stealing the officer's weapon escalates the situation tremendously. But this was a bad shoot.

The officer also fired a shot that hit an occupied vehicle during this, then kicked Brooks after killing him. Doesn't seem like someone in control of themselves.

Nobody said you didn’t work your ass off. I’m also not having a poor me party. I have it pretty damn good. Doesn’t mean that cops don’t scare the crap out of me. Always have. Always will. Especially nowadays.

That wasn’t towards you. They don’t scare me but I get it if they do. All good.

This is easy to analyze after the fact, looking at videos on a computer. When this happens in real time after a ground scuffle you dont have the luxury of slowing things down. I train LEO's for a living now. Ive been in combat most of my adult life. You are never prepared "enough" to be in that position trust me

You want have to worry about that anymore. Arent you excited you got what you and your leftist buddies have been ranting for, " defund the police".
Well now they all walked off the job. Sleep well tonight and dont worry about your family when you arent around to protect them day in and day out. The real problem of law and order has been solved. The Democrat /socialist agenda at its finest.

Sandbar is right. We can Monday am QB this all night long,but at the end of the day none of us have any idea how we would handled a situation such as this. Not sure of the numbers but better than even odds this goes down the same way most of the time.
Sandbar you train LEO`s, take it apart like a training exercise. I am sure it will be one day. What could/should the officer have done differently?

You cant expect the left to understand this point of view. They are guided by their emotions all the time instead of common sense.

I think he should be prepared enough to not kick/stand on a dead man and send shots spraying all over an occupied parking lot at night. If they hadn't searched the guy for weapons I'd be more sympathetic, but come on. They knew he had the taser and nothing else, they knew he was drunk. Two LEOs on the scene. Didn't need to end in death.
