This DA just destroyed his career. There will be blood on his hands due to his careless inability to check his emotions. Atlanta cops will walk and be handcuffed from doing their job (protect citizens) and when this cop walks because he did his job the rioting will be off the charts......

I agree with this....the whole thing stinks, murder is overreach by the DA for sure, there are no winners here only losers.

Do you not realize that the cop had his taser gun taken and shot at him? In Georgia the taser gun is a deadly weapon.

If my kids pointed a weapon at a cop and it went off I would definitely understand why it happened. At what point in life did people learn it was okay to point a weapon and shoot it at an officer?

The guy missed and could not reload the taser, at that point it was a contact only weapon....he was moving away from the officer, no ones life was in immediate danger and the cop decided to shoot him its a sketchy shoot by a cop with a sketchy past so I am not surprised they went with charges or fired him as he had past infractions on him with using a gun or force.....murder however is a overreach.

Can you even comprehend how this could have ended badly for this officer? Brooks wasnt reaching for a taser I can assure you and split second decisions can mean the difference between life and death. You dont get to call timeout or roll a video back to answer questions on decision making. The cops dont always make the best decision but this one did. Its unfortunate a man lost his life but what he did was just plain stupid.....

but it wasn’t the cops gun. The cop knew that when he grabbed his gun and proceeded to shoot the guy in the back. It was a bad shooting.

pointing a BB gun, knife, or sword at a cop doesn’t get you the death penalty. Neither does a taser. The cop shouldn’t have shot the man. His life was not at risk in this case.

Some just don’t get it. That’s why we are in this position. This would have never happened if he followed orders and didn’t attack the 2 officers. Very simple really.

Maybe if the guy wasn't passed out in the Drive-Thru at Wendy's none of this stuff would have ever happened in the first place
