So half of NY can not pay their rents and 92k homeless that article says? Well they just need to be told sacrificing was worth it. They saved millions of lives. You will only be on streets for a short time. You will all be ok is what I was told.

Being in the streets is better than dead they said!

Did you guys catch this "She said...others are having to choose to potentially expose themselves to the virus by continuing to work." Changed the entire complexion of the article for me

Its a tough situation to be in. Go to work and take the risk of getting infected. Company sends you home where you may or may not have a job to go back to.

Lack of response, lack of response, lack of response over and over and over again. You dwell on it trying to make it into something that harmed this country and its just not true man. You want to punish him for not panicking and making rash decisions. Its real easy to do that when you have never had to make decisions that affect lives. I dont care if it's your platoon or 300 million people, what you see as a lack of response is good leadership. Maybe you've never been around an actual leader in your life.....
Lol, dude it is catastrophic leadership. You should look in the mirror with that last statement, at least based on what you say on this forum.

“during the president’s tenure, every part of our preparedness and infectious disease program activity has been enhanced and expanded.” that is a direct qoute from Alex Azar in an ABC news article about this very topic....Sure you can place blame on a lot of people for not being prepared "enough" for an unprecedented pandemic. But no you choose to blame 1 person and 1 person only and the wrong person at that. Why? Because you are simply a sore loser who cant get over 2016.
His statement is just false, a lie. You know it, I know it. Who wouldn't you deny the truth to? You would support that President if he shot someone on fifth avenue, wouldn't you?

Well they are choosing. If they are scared then stay home and locked up. No one. Not one person is making anyone come outta their homes. They can tell their employer that they are scared and not going to work. You said you are worried about your employer cutting staff. If people don’t get out then most likely they will cut because if people are not working they have no money to spend. If they get to far behind then the bills and getting outta debt becomes first priorities. Less money companies make less employees they will have. I just don’t get why people that are scared can’t stay home and let the others get out that want to. This includes medical personnel. The hospitals in most areas are not overrun. So stay home. If someone is scared of spreading the virus or catching it. Then they should not even have to get out. Everything can be ordered online. Grocery stores I can assure you have had the virus exposed inside them. Absolutely guaranteed. It’s on surfaces, in air, on packages. No avoiding it.

The problem though is that those people "choosing to work" have income so why should they go on a rent strike if they are still working? Sounds like they want something for nothing? Socialism as you call it.

So what do you want those people to do? I’m confused. You say they should not go out. So do they demand free rent or mortgage? But now you say they want something for free? So do they work or don’t work? If they asked you what they should do what would you tell them? Remembering you still choose to go to work and risk exposing yourself or others to the virus. Especially going to Lowe’s the other day. So how do you handle this? Show Trump how you would.

Did you support Hillary? Just curious. Oh I’m sure you probably won’t answer that. Just like you will not say what branch or how many years or rank you are. I am around military a lot. They don’t hide it. They are proud of their sacrifice. If someone asks they tell.

Veterans deserve our respect. Even if they don't agree with us politically.

They only people who go around talking about their service all of the time are the ones who are lying about serving or never did anything while they were in.
I'm a Marine, that's all you need to know, get on your way now. I hide nothing, I'm just not a lying braggart.

I'm sure if they are working they're deemed essential? I've never said people shouldn't go out. Essential business is still essential. I'm deemed essential and have a job to go do and i do it. I am not going to go on strike and refuse to pay my mortgage. Outside of some curbside take out and grocery stores my trip to lowes the other day was build a garden to provide food for my family. The 100 people there buying flowers and carpet and paint were the ones there on nonessential business.

My brain works on very tight calculated way because of my job.

Do you truly believe working is really that much of a choice for most folks that they can say ah ---- it I quit? I personally don't, people are going to go work when their jobs open up whether they are comfortable with it or not because the dollar wins since it controls quality of life.

Exactly and that's what lost me on the article.

Comey Bragged About Violating FBI Policy To Ambush Flynn In Corrupt Setup

APRIL 30, 2020 By Tristan Justice
Former FBI Director James Comey once bragged about launching an operation to frame former Trump White House National Security Advisor Michael Flynn during a 2018 interview with NBC’s Nicole Wallace at a 92nd Street Y conference.
“You look at this White House now and it’s hard to imagine two FBI agents ending up in the Sit room, how did that happen?” Wallace asked.

“I sent them,” Comey said plainly. “Something I probably wouldn’t have done or even gotten away with in a more organized investigation, a more organized administration.”
Comey pointed at previous administrations under Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush where the FBI director would have gone through a series of protocols before interrogating senior staff.
“In both of those administrations there was process, so if the FBI wanted to send agents into the White House itself to interview a senior official, you would work through the White House counsel, and there would be discussions and approvals of who would be there and I thought it’s early enough, let’s just send a couple guys over,” Comey said. “And so we placed a call to Flynn and said ‘Hey, we’re sending a couple guys over, hope you’ll talk to them.’ He said ‘sure.’ Nobody else was there, they interviewed him in a conference room at the White House situation room and he lied to them.”
Wallace followed up, asking Comey what he though Flynn thought the conversation was going to be about.
“I don’t think he knew,” Comey said. “We didn’t tell him.”
Comey’s comments come on the heels of new Federalist reporting from co-founder Sean Davis that FBI documents reveal that the federal law enforcement agency’s goal was to get Flynn fired.
Handwritten notes from the FBI obtained by The Federalist reveal that the agents investigating Flynn under Comey’s direction sought “to get him to lie so we can prosecute him or get him fired.”
As Comey admitted, Flynn was questioned by federal prosecutors in 2017 without being told what he was being interrogated for and without an attorney present about conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
Last fall, a former Comey assistant published a book accusing the FBI chief of abusing his power to flout protocols in order to create a perjury trap for the White House security advisor.
“We just decided, you know, screw it,” Comey said according to Josh Campbell.
While the individual identity of the FBI notetaker in unclear, they wrote that agents were alternatively seeking to indict Flynn on charges for violating the Logan Act, a 1799 law prohibiting private citizens from speaking with foreign diplomats widely viewed as unconstitutional.
“It’s clear now that James Comey will go down in history as the most corrupt FBI director in American history,” Davis said on Fox News joining Laura Ingraham on Wednesday. “He has destroyed the FBI’s reputation through his actions, his arrogance, and his corruption.”

Kind of reminds me of the #metoo movement. Dead silence from the left. Must be a pandemic to blame Trump for

Ok. Thank you for your service. I have been around military personnel a lot. The ones who understand respect their fellow soldiers do not go around trashing other soldiers. You remind me of one that disrespected a higher rank one day. Had no reason to be in the military. The higher ranks said they would not ever want to have to depend on that type soldier.

So why is some wanting them to not work and saying they don’t care if they do? Do you believe we should have totally shut down everything? How can these companies pay if they are not producing anything?

You talk big game of "respecting soldiers" to write garbage like that. That is ridiculously insulting and furthermore nonsense.
You absolutely disgust me. Take your thanks and do something to actually support veterans, maybe supporting Still Serving Veterans or similar.

I may not agree with @crecre9 often, but he can say whatever he pleases.

What do you make of Trump thoroughly disrespecting McCain?

Random out of left field question---Who'd you vote for President in 2012?
Romney which was another election of two idiots. Ever since Bush the 2 parties can’t put forth any candidate worth a darn. Last Democrat I voted for was Bredesen for gov. Liked him as a governor. I’m hoping one day Blackburn runs for WH.

I don’t agree with Trump disrespecting him while in office. As for McCain I think he loss face with comments he made also. Goes back to politics. Even if served this country once they get into politics they become snakes. Bush was really only Last decent President with military service in a lot of years.

Yeah I even voted for Romney in the primaries. What a foolish thing to do. I thought we needed a business person I guess.

Same. Everyone knew he would never ever win. I would take Obama over Biden any day.
