I love how you always tell me how I am thinking or that I am somehow not rooted in reality.....my emotions dont overtake me, I do not understand why you think people judging Trump on his character make them emotional, its just odd. I can easily see positives, Trumps negatives greatly outweigh them though....I could just as easily say your emotions have overtaken you ability to see the negative and harmful things Trump is doing to the nation......see how that works. However I think you do see the negative you just dont care...

I am just a old school neocon, small government, strong state, free market kind of conservative....to many conservatives nowadays like to spend money and dont about debt, hell Trump is raising the debt faster than practically anyone else ever.

When have you EVER had small government? I can make this easy for you....NEVER. Reagan grew the government too. Hell I wish we could get control of debt to. How are you going to do that? Let me guess, cut wasteful spending? Love the idea but its a complete farce. We have been getting screwed by other countries for decades on trades. Trump has worked tirelessly to put us first. I know several farmers down east. Mostly pig farmers. They absolutely love Donald Trump. I just don't see where your hatred comes from man.

I don't really care how many times you cut and paste an article trying to rebuke anything I say about how great things are going. Our military is beyond happy, the farmers I know are happy, small business owners are happy. These are people I interact with everyday. If things arent good down your way man I frankly just don't see anybody making you happy. If the rising debt is really that big of a concern to you on the list of issues, you are going to be greatly disappointed in the future.

Heres a headline in the Washington Post today lol.

Thats me. Now Ill be the first to admit despite my college degree and some common sense, I surely am not,nor claim to be one of the brightest out there. But this is par for the course. The Dems/Liberal Socialist movement think folks like me are the biggest threat to life the way they think it should be. I voted for Trump, Beleive in the Bible and regard it as the absoloute truth.
Folks like me have no business making a choice on who should and shouldnt lead our country. They(Dems) are more educated and know whats best for people like me. To them I should never be allowed to decide who and what policies, laws should be governing us.
HA....what better way to confirm a vote than to insult a person.....

Yeah that's pretty ridiculous.

Just as dangerous as it may be to assume those who don't like Trump are either socialist or support it, it's also just as dangerous to assume those who voted for him are racist, homophobic bigots.... names many of us who did vote for him have heard. It's really why there is such a sharp divide in this country, it's not Trumps fault, it's how each individual reacts to his personality, his policies, his speech, etc. Both sides are guilty of reacting and overreacting in such a way that causes the sharp divisiveness. But I'll be honest, being considered a racist because of who I voted for is down right insulting.... judging individuals entirely on one election cycle, what has happened?

I don't believe I've ever seen the country this polarized...It's really disheartening

Washington examiner. It's a conservative paper actually, not like WaPo. This seems to be more of an inflammatory approach which is just more problems for media these days. It's a shame that all it's become is who can trash who the most. And if some here say that trumps retoric should be ignored, apply the same standard to people like this.

True it was the Examiner but it does not take away from what was said and done... here is the full clip. Down right insulting but Trump and his supporters are the "childish" ones.

Actually he called him "the dumbest man on television", not too far off.... I mean if you are going to go on and on insulting Trump, his supporters, middle America as they did in the video clip. Yeah he and anyone else at CNN that allowed this go on is pretty dumb.

I'm not trying to defend him. Him insulting Trump supporters is not okay. However, if people who support trump are enraged about those statements, those who Trump has insulted have every right to feel the same way. There's way too many double standards put in play that force people to "Pick a side and stick with it no matter what" in politics today that it's hurting how our nation views itself. Both sides are childish. Its our duty as Americans to call out both sides even if its our own if they walk their dirt over our constitution and people. If we don't we'll keep giving the extreme sides the spotlight. That's why we have media hosts and Trump insulting each other and the people who support them. It's why we have Trump in the first place and why people on the left support Bernie and Warren.

To me its such a Black N White issue today between the 2 choices. NO GREY AREA.
Im sincere, Eitheir you choose Capitalism, Our Constitution @ Democracy OR you choose Pragmatic Socialism that beleives our constitution needs to be revised, changed.
Its very plain going forward what the Republican Party Platform supports and what the Democrat Party Platform supports. Everyone is entitled to stand up,vote ,speak out to the one they value and Candidate who represents their values.

When people say polotics are to polarizing nowadays, they are correct. The reason is you have fundamental differences coming against each other. Im sorry but there is no middle ground , comprimise to be had. The fabric/DNA of Capitalism and Socialism are not compatible with each other. Its up to every American Citizen to decide this Fall which method of government they prefer and to cast their ballot, let their voice be heard.

The first statement just means you believe in and live what's causing the issue of divide. There needs to be gray area and I believe it exists as I am a part of it. I'm neither a Trump fan nor a socialism supporter. Does either put me in those categories? No. You can't tell me that I believe socialism should run the country because I don't support Trump, and you should also not tell me that I should believe the Republican party stands exclusively for democracy, and the democrats all are socialists. None of this is correct.

I don't disagree but Christian conservatives like myself have been insulted for years from those on the left and I used to totally agree, that I or my "side" should never stoop to their level. But honestly, after years and years of insults..... you know we're "Bible thumpers" or we just "cling to our guns and religion", we're deplorable or if you go in Walmart you can just "smell the Trump voters". Not to mention Hollywood's depiction of us, seen any movies or shows that actually show a Christian male as highly intelligent, no, usually they are portrayed as the dumb country bumpkin, especially if you have an opinion on gay marriage that is contradictory to theirs. We're uneducated, dumb, racist, bigots, homophobic, xenophobes and have been made fun of for years..... so yeah while I tend to agree with your sentiment and sure we are to turn the other cheek, there does come a time when enough is enough. And many of us were glad someone would finally stand up in support of the average, hard working, tax paying, law abiding citizen that loves to cling to our God, guns and flag! It's who I am, I'm proud of it and I'll stand by it until the day I die.

I agree 100%. I try not to judge those that say they are "in the middle". That's fine if you are but to me it is black and white when it comes to politics and we are all entwined in it. The republican party is not perfect, far from it, but they believe in free market capitalism even when it fails and needs correcting. The democrat party has/had a choice and it looks like it is close to making it. Socialism, welfare state, whatever you choose to call it, I want no part of it and those that support it? Well I have always been that lone wolf that doesn't need to be liked by everybody if most here haven't figured that out already........God, Country, Family...Hooyah!

Excellent!! And the time has finally come I think....Enough is enough!!! The "Deplorables" have had it!!! No more standing idly by getting run over

I see Omar is now being investigated by the FBI about the reports she married her brother. https://legalinsurrection.com/2020/01/report-fbi-reviewing-claims-ilhan-omar-married-her-brother/

“Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is a member of the AOC plus three “Squad” and has been embroiled in regarding her anti-Semitism and staunch support for the BDS movement. Additionally, there have been questions about whether or not she has committed tax and/or immigration fraud.

The New York Post reported Sunday that the FBI is now investigating whether or not reports that she married her own brother are founded.”

“An investigation by the Washington Examiner last summer found dozens of documents that indicate discrepancies within the congresswoman’s marriage statements. Omar, 38, has said she married her first husband, Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi, in 2002 before they “decided to end our relationship in our faith tradition” in 2008.

According to Omar, she then married her second husband, Elmi, before getting divorced in 2011 and reconciling the same year with Hirsi. The Washington Examiner found, based on legal documents, that there is no evidence that Hirsi and Omar ever separated between 2008 and 2011, and instead continued to live together during that time period. She did, however, file for divorce from Hirsi in October last year.

Omar has declined to answer questions from the Washington Examiner on the matter, and her office said she would not be available to talk on the subject. Conviction for marriage fraud could result in a $250,000 fine, along with five years in prison.”

“A report released by the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board shows that Rep. Ilhan Omar broke federal tax law by filing her taxes jointly with a man to whom she was not legally married.

The Thursday report found that Omar filed joint tax returns in 2014 and 2015 with Ahmed Hirsi, her current husband, whom she did not legally marry until 2018.”

The current political landscape is what happens when you let the fringe extreme ends of the parties run the parties, most Americans both on the left and right are more to the middle, they care about things like national debt, healthcare, education, infrastructure, tax reform, immigration, etc and they want smart long term solutions to these issues. The platforms pushed by both sides are too extreme for most of us, this "my way or the highway" mentality of the two parties is destructive and a giant waste of time. It is really unfortunate we find ourselves in this position, what I really want is for my elected leaders to sit down at a table and behave like adults and work things out instead of trying to force their agendas down the throat of America.......both sides are equally at fault in this, both versions of America pushed by the far right and far left are frightening....

Breaking story that McConnell had told the GOP senators they lack the votes to stop witnesses. If this is true then Bolton will most certainly be called on.

You have 435 in the House and 100 in the Senate. When you get a majority of those "in the middle" like you let me know. Since its a pipe dream im gonna go with the extreme end that pays my bills now and in the future. I have a unique ability to take care of most of my needs

Add to that the GOP senators demanding the WH give them a copy of Bolton's manuscript...maybe some spine growing is occurring after all, a lot of them for whatever reason obviously believed Trump when he said he was innocent or they knew but thought Trump admin was going to keep it suppressed, either way chances seem very high we get to see Bolton and probably some others like Mulvaney etc under oath on the stand so either way this is great news......we need the GOP senators to wake up and realize this is their one chance to right the ship....I imagine Trump is no fun to be around right now as it all crumbles down around him.....
