Why would Obama take us over a cliff?

Obama had zero experience doing anything in his life other than organizing communities. We survived his inexperience and we will survive Trump. Nobody is going over any cliff. Its really not that hard to comprehend

Over the cliff? Really? If Obama didnt take us over I think were gonna be ok. At least most of us are gonna be ok. You and a few others I'm not so sure about. You seem to be driving your own self over intentionally!

When I say over a cliff I am referring to the GOP not the country.....

When the American people can only go to basically one station for informative, trustworthy news

LOL...Sounds a lot like the DEMS....The DEMS & liberal main stream media spew crap all the time expecting the American people to believe what they are saying is true...Most of the people I know don't even watch that trash anymore...They know it's all being spun to benefit the liberal DEMS...Hard to find truthful news anymore
Theres some good reporters out there at every station but your missing my point DONT LISTEN TO MAINSTREAM I know because i live it I work it and I research it nothing to do with what a dang news reporter it's about being informed and sadly nobody is these days. There brainwashed.

This article shows obama asking how Trump is going to accomplish bringing manufacturing jobs back. "Does he have a magic wand"? Obama didn't have an "economy train". Thanks for the good laugh !
Regan started nafta in the early 80s Bush included Mexico during his term Congress passed the bill with bipartisan support Clinton signed it because it was the will of the people (Congress). My point is manufacturing as we know it will never be the same the textile mills are gone for good nothing is one sided both parties were at fault and Obama tyred his best to clean it up. Trump was in good shape on inauguration day.

Lol. Please learn something. This post is full of falseness. Remember Obama saying "those jobs arent coming back". Now people are fully employed to nearly 3 percent. Trump was in good shape? Lol. Handed a 10 percent unemployment and successive decline in GDP. Well, Obama made sure there was no way to go but up, so in that sense, youre right. Lol

Unemployment was 4.7% when Obama left office, not 10%.

Pot meet kettle, you have already been corrected on unemployment which was under 5% and had been falling for years.....same with the GDP it was fairly steady in 2016 leading into Trump, the economy was stabilized and improving well before Trump took over.....presidents have very little to do with the rise and fall of the economy long term anyways...

unemployment hasn't been over 10 % in a long time

Tomorrow should start the 4th time in this countries history that a sitting president has been formally impeached. The two articles of impeachment introduced today should be passed, I doubt Pelosi would bring them forth without the votes to pass them.

President's dont control the economy, this much is true but they can and do introduce policy that can influence business practices, hiring and consumer confidence. Obama's problem is clear. He didnt do nearly enough to get us moving quicker

Lets get this to the Senate where it will die but not before the Republican's get to open Pandora's Box. Tomorrow (If it happens) will also be the start of the re-election of Donald Trump!

On the first part, yes, Obama didn't get us moving as fast as we could have, but at the same time, congress and Trump didn't get us out of the wheelchair like we should have been. The spending needs to be reduced before we hit a recession that could turn very severe due to poor economic behavior beforehand.

For part 2, you don't know if the senate will just say "Nah let's not impeach him" Just because they have an R next to their name. If they don't want him in their party, are told real evidence that make his impeachment inevitable, or voting against it and putting their own re-election on the line, they will vote to impeach him. All it takes is about 3 or 5 republicans and all the independents and dems and he will be impeached. The bigger question is will they remove him or not. I think that if they choose impeachment he won't be removed, but that's just my guess.

Most level headed, patriotic Americans will not forget this...The DEMS have truly embarrassed themselves and shown their true colors...A very sad day for America....However all is not lost....The Senate will shoot this down immediately...The DEMS have all but ensured a Trump re-election...So in a weird way, I guess we should be thanking them...A tip of the hat to you, DEMMIES!!!

I have no doubt he will be impeached. In fact I am expecting it to go to the Senate where it will die. When it goes to the senate Trump and his attorney(s) will have the power to subpoena and I for one am looking forward to the bulldog being released on these scumbags

You just contradicted yourself there. Saying you expect him to be impeached but the impeachment die in the senate makes no sense whatsoever.

Please watch how you say things like that. It's not a sad day for America if a president gets impeached in the terms you think it is. It's more a sad day for America that we had crappy candidates that one had to be elected, and they chose to take their presidency and screw it up. It's an embarrassment to the world that we are looking at impeaching. Hopefully he gets impeached and removed and we get someone competent in there like Pence for the rest of next year. Then the GOP can run a new candidate for 2020 who will be less extreme and more unifying, unless they screw that up.

No, you're fine having your opinion. That's not the part I was saying was wrong. By saying stuff like "A tip of the hat to you, DEMMIES!!!" is not necessary and starts to break the civil discussion. It only fosters divisiveness and causes people to take you less seriously as well. Trust me I don't want this to be a one-sided thread, but name calling and using all caps is one way to not be taken seriously.

Name calling is one of my biggest pet peeves in any debate. I've seen it from various posters. Fortunately, its pretty civil here.
We're all Americans first and foremost. :)

Perhaps my wording could have been a little more clear. The House will impeach him. When it goes to trial in the Senate the upper hand goes to The President where I feel very confident this round will die a very quick death. I do fully expect the Democrats to go back into the lab and find something else to try and impeach him on because they can't win at the ballot box next year on socialist policies.
